I said I'm a PlayStation guy so I mostly play on PS5 since it actually has games I care about like Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy 16 and so on. When Xbox starts getting better games then I might pick up a series X, until then there's no rush.

Neither of these is correct. The PS5 runs the PS4 Pro version. It runs checkerboard 4K. It’s not as crisp as XBox’s native 4K, but it’s still well above 1080p-1440p.

@@mandrews6282 I played and completed RDR2 on ps4 pro the first time, and while the game itself is decent, I will say the HDR is entirely broken and the so called checkerboard rendering at 4k is not right for the way this game renders its art to the screen. Due to the lower-than-average horizontal resolution R* chose and the games preference towards large amounts of alpha foliage coupled with a highly aggressive TAA things get very VERY blurry (especially around swamp area of saint denis). When compared to the many quite impressive 2560x1440p 3rd party games you see on Ps4 Pro, RDR2 looks sloppy. Playing GOW and spider man after this was a DAY AND NIGHT difference in checkerboard upscale quality. The game looks way better on Xbox One X/Series X tho

You know the one that shows you what resolution you’re in and your input, etc. It’ll also show you whether or not VRR is currently running. When it’s not VRR is off and doesn’t display. When it’s on it does. So I’m pretty sure it does.

Tried Rd2 on both xbox series x and Ps5. I can say with absolute accuracy that the ps5 version is visually annoying due to the lower resolution than the series x version, I was very disappointed. Rdr2 is a game to enjoy on slow rides in the middle of nature, to enjoy the visual quality.. with ps5 it's not possible, so I uninstalled it.

If Rockstar decided to make a proper release for RDR2 for PS5, ofcourse it will easily manage to run the game native 4k, and actually look good doing so, I'm just saying, it's kinda surreal that the PS5 version of the game looks noticeably worse than even last gen Xbox one X version of the game. Again, it's a fault of Rockstar not releasing the game optimised for new gen consoles, not a case of PS5 hardware being weak.

Many old games look better on PS5. For example - MGS 5 which runs in 1440p while XBOX version is 1080p or 900p, or Watch Dogs 2 - it's again 1440p on PS5 and 900p on Series X. That's because these games are improved for PS4 Pro but didn't receive One X patch. And also every game that did not receive any Pro/One X patches runs better on PS5 just because PS4 was better than Xbox One.

Both of these games are running in back compat modes. So PS5 is the exact same checkerboard 1440P upscale to 4k that was on the PS4 Pro and the Series X renders at Native 4K at the same optimization for the Xbox One X. Both feel janky because both versions are locked at 30 fps. We don't see any improvements outside of load times on the newest consoles.

Neither version has a patch; Series X runs the Xbox One X version and PS5 runs the PS4 Pro version. So native 4K on Xbox and a reconstructed 4K on PS5. So PS5 certainly has a softer image as it uses checkedboarding to achieve it’s 4K.

@Viswanathan69 A couple weeks ago I upgraded to a 4070 super. Now close to 100 fps at 4k. Huge jump. The 1080ti ended up dying actually lol. Turned off while playing the kingdom hearts remaster then stopped giving me a display output when rebooted. Legend of a GPU, will never forget. I used to mine crypto on the card at 120% power limit and it was the cheapest blower style zotac version of the 1080ti. It had a rough life.

A lot of comments on this video state that Xbox series is better than PS. Truth is they came from ports of the One X and Ps4 Pro. And the One X had better hardware and was given a better and more adaptive version of the game by rockstar. You can complain all you want about Ps being worse. But you need to note that on release PlayStation 4's were $100 cheaper than the respective Xbox models. In the end it doesn't really matter that you can see a tree more clearly. What matters is that the experience of the story is same on both consoles. Complain all you want but, in the end, Rockstar's Red Dead 2 gives the same experience of a beautiful story to everyone equally.

Just installed today and transferred save files with my 1.00 glitch heavy saves. Works like a charm, SMOOTH frame rate! Just run the game offline and disconnect from the internet before install and play, turn off automatic updates and you should be fine as well! But the 1.00 save data can be directly data transferred as well

@@pnwfisher2144 Xbox Series X has been proven many times that it is more powerful than a PS5, it's a fact. Xbox consoles have always been more powerful than PS consoles BUT Xbox exclusives just really sucks so bad compared to PS exclusives which gives no reason for most people to buy Xbox Series X when they can just buy a PS5 which has better exclusive games. And to make it worse, people can just buy the Xbox game pass on PC and just play there with a controller. Xbox Series X is overall a better and cheaper console but there's really no reason to pick it over PS5 which provides you with more and better exclusive games. The only reason people buy Xbox that I can probably think of is the cheaper price (Xbox Series S is a game changer for low budget gamers) and people who just really like xbox exclusives.

@@Dariel81886idk man I see my girl playing it on the ps4 and definitely the ps5 runs it smoother as fuck and looks better the ps4 one and the Xbox series x were closer in in comparison then the ps5 it ran so smoothly tho the ps5 is alot newer as well ps5 coloring isn’t washed out either like the Xbox is but I think it’s how I have my ps5 setup as well compared to the Xbox

​@@CursedMohawk the lightning and HDR are the same on the PS5 and series x in red dead and both have the exact same frame rates with minor drops but the series x actually runs this at a native 4k resolution which the PS5 doesn't have in this game
