Man I love your writing. It's a shame you didn't mention the fact that, even after all that's happened, Mary finds the courage to visit Arthur’s gravestone, a grave that's put in the middle of nowhere, on a steep mountainside, miles away from her home. After all these years and hurt feelings, she still thought it was important to visit Arthur's grave and pay her respects to a man that was a perfect example of a good person caught in a bad men's world
@themadtitan76032 жыл бұрын
I'm glad to see someone else point this out. Mary probably found out through a 3rd party about Arthur's passing and where he's buried, and even though it's been nearly a decade since she decided to she wants to move on from him, she still thought it was important that she go on a presumably long journey up a mountainside in Ambarino to give her "never-meant-to-be" love her final goodbye. The acting in this scene (supposedly performed by Roger Clark himself and not Julie Jesneck) is also very effective, as I could feel her sorely pondering on what could've been and how she likely imagined, even after she sent that last letter to him, that Arthur would've showed up on her doorstep; ready to finally move on from his outlaw life.

Yeah, I'm sitting here watching these videos on Arthur's story, and tearing up at every one. I look at Arthur, and minus the murder, I see myself to a large extent; a kindred spirit, even though he's a fictional character. I see a man who's lost, and doesn't know what he can do to right all the wrongs in his life. He wants to make sure the people he loves are ok, and help as many people in need as possible, but he's never sure how to help himself, or if he even deserves it. Unlike Arthur, though, i don't have any kind of deadline that I can look at to atleast pretend I've got a chance to squeeze enough goodness into, even just on the small chance that maybe, just maybe it'll be enough to make up for all the fuckups, mistakes, regrets, and lost chances. A shot at redemption, whatever it even is. A chance to die knowing I'd done all I could, and finally made myself something close to a good man, a good person, who's worthy of the love and redemption I've never quite been able to grasp. Maybe, no matter how small the chance, in the end I'll be able to find it like Arthur did. I hope so, anyway.

The entry is Arthur's journal following the receiving of Mary's last letter is what hit me most. A fantastic story of lost loss. Here's the entry for anyone curious; "Got a letter from Mary. What did I expect? What did I want? Weren't never meant to be, and never really was, and yet somehow, in the end, I discovered I had a heart because it was broken. Oh, you fool. You sad, deluded fool. Torn in two by different idea of who you were, and it turns out you weren't neither of them."

I think one of the saddest parts of RDR2 is how Arthur doesn't think he's a good person at all. He definitely is a good person, but it's like what Real Pixels said. He's a good person but the people who he's been with for 20 years makes him do bad stuff and he complies because that's all he knows. I see nobody mention this but even when Arthur and John were bad at times, it's Dutches fault, he raised and manipulated them for years, whereas other gang members were raised by others and joined the gang at a later time. I know Hosea raised them too, but since Dutch was the leader I feel like his influences rubbed off more than Hoseas did. But in the end Arthur broke free of Dutched manipulation and him thinking he owes everything to the gang. Red Dead Redemption 2 definitely has the best story out of any media in my opinon, you can look so deep and analyze any side story or cutscene in this game for hours.

I remember reading that. I think the reason why Arthur was so lost is because he never knew who he truly was. He knew the life he'd been raised by, but he had a conscience, unlike most of the men he ran with, and so he was always at odds with himself. That's why he could never decide for himself what he wanted. He was in a world where he could definitely hold his own, but not one he truly belonged in.

Arthur and Mary's relationship is one of the most realistic relationships I've seen in a love story, and the fact that it's such a small yet huge part of the game at the same time is incredible. It's very misunderstood online, with people telling Arthur to forget her when for almost any real life person it would be impossible for him to do so. I really appreciate this quest line, and always look forward to it in every play through. Side note: Roger Clark stated that it was only meant to be a single quest at first, but Rockstar liked their chemistry so much that they decided to make it a bigger part of the game. Arthur and Mary's story is the single most beautifully tragic aspect of RDR2 imo. Out of all the emotional moments in its the game's long and epic story, the trolley station scene where Mary tells Arthur to run away with her and forget everything affected me the most. Because we were at a crossroads, both in their relationship and the story, with Arthur given a choice between running away with his long-lost love or staying loyal to the gang that he calls family but has been plagued by a recent string of bad luck and tragedy with a leader who's slowly but surely growing unstable. I always internally scream at the screen everytime I watch the scene for Arthur to leave with her, even if it means leaving the gang and betraying the loyalty that means so much to him if it means avoiding all the tragedy that was awaiting for him when he didn't take that trolley. It's a beautiful, melancholic and authentic portrayal of a "not-meant-to-be" relationship that unfortunately, often gets overlooked not only because it's a smaller subplot that plays out over a series of optional missions, but because many fans are busy (unfairly imo) hating on Mary's character than recognizing the wonderful writing in their relationship and its importance to Arthur's arc. A disdain that I often feel is rooted out of the strong connection many players had with Arthur making them perceive Mary's actions as purely malicious manipulation, seemingly oblivious to both lovers clear longing for each other, and not anything she actually did wrong.

One thing that relates to me the most (and perhaps one of the most misunderstood aspects of why Mary is unable to be with Arthur) is that she KNOWS it will worry her too much if they both live together in the gang's lifestyle. It's not that she is of the "higher social status" that she doesn't want to be with Arthur, much less so on being concerned on her own safety; it's knowing that every time Arthur rides out there is a probability of him being caught up in danger or even death. Imagine if she did decide to run away with the gang to live with Arthur, waiting at the camp nervous to death if Arthur would come back or not (Just look at what it did to Abigail). She does NOT want that kind of life, and her reluctance in living with Arthur in the camp makes sense. This relates to me as I have been in a long distance relationship with someone whose safety and well-being I worry too much even with faster communication. Now imagine being in that situation in the old days with the only way to make sure if your loved ones are safe is through days worth of snail mail. She *LOVES* Arthur and *desires* to be with him, but she *HATES* and *FEARS* what it would do to them and their relationship.

⚠️Vary Long comment about Jack Marston’s game justification and story. Arthur said “revenge is fools game”, Jack took revenge on a very high ranked and decorated federal agent. While canonically speaking 3 people are alive who could point fingers in Jack’s direction. Rdr3 as in “red dead redemption 3” must happen with the Jack he’s the last piece in this whole revenge cycle. 1. World War I does not really mean anything to the United States until April 1917 when we get involved and soon after that we start drafting. We have a few years to work with for Jack’s Western adventures. 1914,1915,1916, and part of 1917 2. If historical accuracy is the problem well by most estimates that I’ve seen many historians consider the end of the wild west to be around 1890 to about 1895. So by that view rdr2 and rdr1 are unrealistic technically given their time periods. Standard Wild West era is 1865-1895. So by that logic westerns shouldn’t touch the 1900s and definitely not dare touch the 1910s. As for 1899 well it’s in the late 1800s but still out of the standard timeline if we were playing by the rules of many standard Western timelines. 3. Rockstar operates under a different timeline giving the years they set their games, they seaming look at things from the perspective of “as long as horse travel is still normal, western stories happening is not ridiculous yet and not far out of the realm of believability”. So we can say Rockstars standard for the Wild West era factors with end of the horse era so 1865-1920ish. Which technically does make sense if horse travel is still normal especially in rural areas in the 1910s then criminals on horseback isn’t a far-fetched concept yet either. 4. Considering they literally made “Cowboys of the Caribbean” by making chapter 5 in Guarma I don’t think they’re that too concerned about keeping everything 100% strict on standard Wild West areas/adventures. So I don’t think using only *ONE* part of rdr3 being set overseas in World War I is that far-fetched of an idea for rockstar. 5. People think he “has no story to tell….” he shot a retired top brass FBI federal agent… then canonically speaking leaves 3 ppl alive who can point at jack. The agent that he first asked about where to find Edgar, along with Edgar‘s wife and brother are still alive. With the brother being the one who most likely finds the body after search for Edgar when he doesn’t return back to camp after a while. Then inevitably reports that to the police then news gets back to Blackwater quickly. Than the agent Jack first asked is going to give a statement about a young man late teens early 20’s was looking for him. Considering what happened to Jack’s dad a few years earlier is not ancient history to the Blackwater police force. The law will decide to go down to breachers hope to go see if Jack is home obviously he won’t be there. After a few weeks no sight of him returning home, then factoring in the the statements from the brother and the wife. The Government is going to assume that Jack is most likely the one who killed Edger because he has the biggest motive to wanna go after Edgar, with no alibi to suggest otherwise, and conveniently not at home. Also because we’re supposed to be starting to enter the modern age, killing cops especially Top brass federal agents is going to give Jack a hefty bounty and of course the law is not going to just let this go. *Boom Jack is on the run RDR 3 starts* 6. Another thing the redemption storyline does not give out free happy endings unearned. Jack will get his no doubt, but so many people believe he just killed Edgar and just got away with it. That is not how rockstar writes the redemption storyline you don’t just walk away Scott free with no repercussion. The redemption trilogy is about finding redemption in the eyes of law enforcement and or in the eyes of your peers/yourself. Set during end of the wild west era as the foundational background for the “Redemption” stories. I want Jack to have a happy ending, and I know he will rockstar won’t kill him off or leave him sitting in jail forever as the ending of RDR3. But his redemption at least in the eyes of the law must be earned not just handed freely while simultaneously being very inconsistent with what the theme of the redemption storyline is about. 7. “he lived and became an author the end ” several things questionable/ arguably wrong with that that. The one book that we see in Franklins house in GTA only proves *one* thing. He lived long enough to write a book and publish one that does *not* mean he got a happily ever after in terms of a long life/ peaceful one. I mean technically he could’ve wrote that book in the few years following John’s death as a way of coping with grief as far as we know. And had it published before his mom‘s death and his hunt for Edger… He could’ve died in World War 1, or died a wanted man for killing Edgar and most likely other crimes, we just don’t know for sure how Jack turned out…. One book only proves one book that he made exist and was published. Now do I think rockstar would kill jack off. Absolutely not I feel like that would be a terrible decision. “Somebody’s gotta make it” we already have 2 dead protagonist that many people loved it would just be beating a dead horse in my opinion to kill Jack and narratively unsatisfying. It would be a nice seeing in the end Arthur’s sacrifice than John’s sacrifice in the end all paved the way for Jack to be the one to make it, if he doesn’t live it would just feel like the whole story was for nothing Imo, if nobody from the Marston family lived in the end. All of this death all the sacrifices over the years all amounted to really nothing if he died too. But as I say Jack’s happy ending must be earned not just freely handed to him in order for it to really at least be kinda realistic and truly worthwhile conclusion to the redemption story that stayed true to the overall theme of the franchise. Plot wise rdr3 *Chapters 1-8* Jack goes on the run for killing Edgar Ross, shortly into his life as an outlaw he runs into “the last outlaw gang of the West” he joins up with them considering he knows on his own he’s not likely to last very long he doesn’t know how to go “on the run” John and Abigail tried to keep him away from that life as much as possible. After joining Jack and his new gang robs banks, trains, etc.. “standard wild West adventures”. 1914- middle 1917. *Epilogue 1* he gets captured by Archer Fordham in middle 1917, Along with a few of his gang buds Who are about his age. And because they’re all young man Their offered a deal in exchange for their freedom or not. “You gentlemen can choose to fight In ww1 if you survive you’ll be free men when you get back consider this your sentence, or you could choose not to fight and you can sit in prison for the rest of your lives or I can just hang you… your choice” obviously they choose to fight we play as Jack in World War I. *Epilogue 2* it’s November 1918 the war is over, Jack and his friends who made it go back to the states are declared as free men in the eyes of the law, Jack is officially redeemed. shortly after He Married his gf, Buys a new ranch to honor his parents, and starts writing the book “rdr”. *Final Act* 1919 jack’s been home and adjusting to “modern life” for 1 year. We see the ranch is doing well, he just finished his book, has two kids, his friends are also doing well they also live relatively close by to him. We last see Jack close the book he just finished, look at the pictures on the wall , we see his dad‘s old gang, and Jacks gang, picture of his squad mates from the war, solo picture of himself, and his parents and his new family. He kinda smiles Then stands up put on his dad‘s hat goes outside to go work around the ranch *The END* *Credits* shows Jack and his family over the years of their lives in the 1920s 30s 40s 50s… up until Jack is an old man. With a Heavy focus showing Jack’s Ranch Grow into a big business over the years, and he has several best selling books he wrote, also showing how his kids turned out, and life with his wife, and Nice moments with his old gang/war buds over the years. *Honorable mentions* Assuming none of John’s old gang members have anything to do with Jack story during the outlaw stage or when he’s overseas in the war. Might be a nice little nod to show clips of them in the credits scene “how they’re doing now”. Last time we saw them was 1907 be nice to check in to see what their life is like in 1919 at the true very end of the Wild West.

I was hoping in 2019, we would be getting an el camino type story for Jack which would be about as long as a the tbogt campaign. Your story is decent though personally I feel like the first 8 chapters are a bit much in a period where the wild west was pretty much dead
@redt83112 жыл бұрын
@@debilman9065 yeah that’s reasonable 🤝. I was trying to stretch it out some by factoring in a Canadian wildernesses area and or Mexico for a few chapters. considering at least for Mexico it seemed like Abraham rayes became a bit of a dictator at the end of rdr1 I think I remember reading that one of the newspapers “new revolution starts up and more chaos and confusion starts up”. So there’s still is some significant wild most likely south of the border for Jack’s gang to go rob some banks maybe a train. With the law and military already spread thin as it is should be easy targets . As for Canada well even today most of that country is still wilderness, we could make a believable enough Western chapter up their robbing a couple of border towns perhaps. 2 or 3 chapters: either in Mexico or Canada perhaps both. 5 or 6 chapters: in the United States. epilogue 1: set overseas in the war Epilogue 2: back to the United States but in an area that was had no criminal past involving Jacks gang. So that way he has a true fresh start.
@flacobrian37542 жыл бұрын
for me I would love a game where in the beginning Jack lives in México fighting in the revolution with a fictionalized Pancho Villa/Emiliano Zapata, then years later when the fighting dies down he returns to the usa and then encounters fictionalized outlaws of Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd, Baby Face Nelson and other outlaws of the 1920s/1930s and robs banks in the midwest and can head to the desert states and rob trains and do other outlaw stuff, I don’t know any way the story could go that doesn’t copy Arthur and John’s story

I think Mary gets a lot of hate as a character, whereas a lot of fans pair Arthur with Sadie - but looking back on a woman's rights and way of life for the time, Mary had every right to secure herself a decent future marrying another man in the bids that she doesn't starve. There was such pressure on women in this time period to marry well so that their families can survive. It's the tale as old as time as forbidden love and in this world it wouldn't have worked with Arthur's unshaken loyalty to his gang. I don't necessary like Mary either, but I think she's so well written for a woman of her financial standing for the time period. Again the devs nailed this with historical accuracy! Mary-Beth actually says something similar that as a woman in this world, it's not easy and that's why she fell in with the Gang. Arthur and Sadie are written as soul equals as each other and as a woman, it is so refreshing to see a character such as Sadie be so strong and impressive in her own right, while not being the default love interest of the protagonist. It's also really refreshing to see such a strong and burly character such as Arthur, get flustered and be vulnerable. Mary is the only one who elicits this reaction from him.
@BlondieYouTube2 жыл бұрын
I also wrote a comment on this. A relationship between Sadie and Arthur would not work, because their friendship is made between the pain and sorrow they both go through, far from the naive and playful feeling for romantic love. Not to forget, that Sadie's husband has been murdered in front of her eyes, and the murderers kept her hostage for days in that cabin. Her heart is full of rage and pain, so she's not exactly just going to move over and forget. They respect one another, but a romance? Nope, no way.

I never saw Sadie and Arthur as being a potential love interest, granted that’s never what I look for in games as lovey dovey stuff isn’t my thing, but the impression that I got was that Sadie would only be happy living by herself as she does in the epilogue

@@BlondieKZbin always hated the idea of a relationship with the two, also even further Sadie still stays active in bounty hunting which isn't a safe job while Arthur if he ever had survived would have preferred to live it low. There is nothing impressive or refreshing about the way Sadie is written. She is a Mary Sue whose only flaws end up turning into benefits for the gang or they simply aren't called out. Frankly, she's a massive contrast to everyone else in the game, because she constantly breaks the realism the game tries to hard to push by often being the smartest and most competent in a gang where she hasn't had nearly as much experience as the others.
@bullshark78882 жыл бұрын
That final scene with Arthur and Mary, when Arthur takes her hand in his and tells her "I want to.. more than anything I want to.." broke me from the inside. Because we knew deep down as badly as we want our favorite cowboy to be happy, in the end, he just won't get the happy ending he deserves. Even after doing so much good, he's doomed to die alone and this is the sad masterpiece of a tragedy that is Red Dead Redemption 2. That's why John and his family escaping and surviving meant so much to Arthur. He knew he couldn't get his happy ending before he either gets killed because of the gang or succumbs to TB. He knew he can never have a perfect family life so he instead worked himself to his last breath ensuring his best friend got the happy ending instead. This is why as he's dying on the top of the hill, Arthur may be in immense pain and his body failing him, but he doesn't have any regrets. And his last words reflect it perfectly, even though they're heartbreaking. "John made it.. he's the only one. The rest of us.. no. But.. I tried. In the end.. I did."

Their Lovestory broke my heart. I didnt want their date to end. Wanted to take in every second they were breathing the same air. It was so tense. One of the reasons I love this game. It's just a video game and this is just one simple side quest, but after finishing the game, You cant help but think what if Arthur just left and went away with Mary. They both couldve had better lives probably. The impact this game has on me is why this is my favorite game forever. The main story, the Downes family story, the sister Calderon story, the charles chatenay story, the charlotte balfour story, the Hamish Sinclair story, etc. There's just a lot to relate to.

I haven’t seen anyone mention this but Mary *Linton* is probably a reference to Wuthering Heights, an 1847 tragedy/romance novel. The book tells a story of Catherine Linton, who rejects marriage to Heathcliff because of his character and the shame it would bring her socially, even though she loves him deeply. Rockstar just doesn’t end with their attention to detail.

I've been awaiting the next chapter in your historical-accuracy videos, but I am so glad you made this video instead. The love stories (Arthur and Mary and, later, John and Abigail) were probably my favorite aspects of this game, not only on their own merits but also because they made this whole story about so much more than crime and violence-the love stories humanized everything else going on in the game and amped up the stakes tremendously. And while I've always loved how John used Arthur's ring to propose to Abigail, effectively closing the loop on Arthur's heartbreak, I'd never actually realized that his advice to John about running away were actually Mary's words to Arthur. That is so beautiful, and I'm so grateful you pointed it out! I also find myself thinking about Charlotte. That, too, felt like part of the love story here. I also thought she represented a second chance for Arthur, but one he already knew he was too far gone to take. By that point in the game Arthur is already disillusioned with his family, and there's a part of me that always wished he'd left the gang and settled down with Charlotte. But I also knew going in that he never could, not only because his TB was so advanced at that point and the climate where Charlotte lives was the LAST thing his lungs needed, but also because he needed to help John and Abigail. THEY were his true second chance, and in the high-honor ending, I've always felt that's what his sunrise represented: that he'd found not just peace but also a lasting love that live on in John and Abigail.
@TheMaggileinchen Жыл бұрын
That's exactly how I felt about Charlotte. It was also proof that after he started doing the "good thing" good things started coming to him too. Unfortunately it was too late.

It’s absolutely remarkable, both this video and this specific story line for how well it’s made and accurately portrayed. Although it resonates well, somehow it’s still hoped that there’s a will, there’s a way of some sort of closure or better ending as opposed to a more gloomy outlook on an ending.

I never really viewed it all this way until I was confronted with a similar situation. The woman I loved. Love. Perhaps did not love me in kind, or perhaps this was just not the right time for her. Now I am faced with similar feelings of Arthur. I do indeed feel like a prize idiot. Though revisiting this love story, I realize that this isn't the end of it. As you yourself said, just because I was unable to give my love to her, and she was unable to accept it, does not mean I cannot give love to those around me. I have the pleasure and privilege to live far from the stress of modern society, and as such I find myself with a lot of free time to think and contemplate about my life up to this point. I think someday I will find a woman who can join me in this great adventure of life. Or perhaps in time the woman that I love will love me in kind. I am not sure but I will accept what comes my way, and deal with it as a man. Thank you Arthur Morgan. Sincerely, A fellow prize idiot

This masterfully displays the emotional connection and expression videos games can cause to their players. I’ve always thought that gaming is the best medium for exacting real emotion because unlike literature or film you get to decide what your character does. You can chose to help Mary or not which gives the action and what comes from it more personal weight to the character and to the player.

I also want to note that many Red Dead fans constantly state there should have been a romantic relationship between Arthur and Sadie Adler, which would never work. Arthur and Sadie share the same pain in losing loved ones, Sadie's husband has been murdered, and she has been kept in a cellar by the murderers for days probably for violent acts against her. Arthur lost his son Isaac, and the mother of his child Eliza, being murdered for little but ten dollars. Next to that his love relationship with Mary has been of constant disappointment. These two characters share both sorrow and carry anger in which they can recognise a good bond of friendship, but it will never spark the same naive hope and playfulness to become a loving romantic one. There is too much pain and sadness. Like Arthur stated; "We're more ghosts than people."

This was such a deep and insightful analysis, I loved it! Whether someone likes or dislikes Mary as a character is their own business, but it's difficult for me to understand how they can think of her as some sort of manipulative woman who uses Arthur's feelings for her to get what she wants. I just recently finished my first playthrough of RDR2 and every time she was on the screen I was struck by how clearly in love she still is with Arthur, how it's both true that she's only contacting him because she's desperate but also because she still wants to see him, and how much it breaks her heart to give up on him for good. That last letter she sends is so unbelievably beautiful, and one of the things that sticks with me the most from this game: "I was just starting to dream the silliest and softest of dreams."

Awesome video! Thanks for covering their relationship. I feel like it's an underrated aspect of the game, especially when you can choose not to help Mary and basically ignore it entirely. And based on their history, as is suggested in Mary's letters, Arthur is well within his rights to leave her be. You can understand if he was so hurt by her that he wouldn't want anything to do with her anymore, but it would still be poignant and tragic because, based on his journal entries, it's clear that he continues to love her anyway. So no matter what way you play the game's story, their relationship has a huge impact on Arthur's character and is all the better for it.

So I watched this, and if this video makes you remember perhaps a breakup you went through, as I know it did me, my advice is this: Whatever the cause was for the breakup, instead of trying to figure out whether it was you or them; because we all play the blame game to some extent, a better use of your time is to own your part - the part where you know you went wrong - because once you are able to recognize it, you'll be able to make changes in that area, so that when the next person comes along you won't repeat the same behavior with them, but you have to first make a diberate choice to correct that behavior, and then be dedicated to the solutions that will help do so. Don't expect them to come back, and whatever you do do not beg them to come back, don't plead with them, because all that will do is reaffirm in their mind that leaving you was the right decision. Just work on yourself and try to be the very best version of yourself that you can possibly be. And remember, it's better to lose and be a man, to retain your dignity, then it is to win and be essentially a little puppy dog.

This video hits different after braking up with the love of your life... Especially the ending

I cried when I realize Mary’s mission “We loved once and true” and “Fatherhood and other dream ” really interpreted Arthur’s eagerness to settle and have a family with her. During the last part of the mission when they discussed running away and Mary said “what a beautiful dream” (because she knew Arthur can’t just run away with her) really sets them on a single page. At that point during the game play I kind of anticipated that in the end arthur would say his goodbyes to John and Abigail to run away with Mary, this made the ending more painful because arthur died and he can’t have that with Mary. Makes me wonder if the empty ranch house near strawberry or valentine supposedly be Arthur and Mary’s house since it became available in the epilogue.

Thank you for your insights on this! I loved the important message about love in general at the end of your video. As tragic as it is to realize the confinements of the world around oneself, it is important to not lose sight of the great love one can give to others. To realize ones own capacity to change the world into something better, however small this change might appear. These somehow hidden insights the story provides once and once again - truely a masterpiece.

When the mission first came up I thought Mary was too stuck up for Arthur so I declined to help. Little did I know how much I missed.

15:02 That is such a glorious beard. Arthur must keep his guns in there. A small Derringer, perhaps.

This is sadder because Arthur had a second and even third love interest yet can’t have any of them

Thank you for what you said at the end. One of the reasons I love this game so much is because I'm able to see myself and others in my life in it. Still looking for my Abigail 😂, but I'm thankful for my Mary. Thank you for your dedication to this game and it's stories.

Bro, the emotional weight of Aurthur and Mary’s ring given to John and Abigail as yet another form of red redemption for Aurthurs mistakes just deepens the first rdr game. The most precious lesson I learn for these games is that for our sins, life will demand justice befitting our crimes. Sometimes, we have to pay in blood. When life comes knocking, demanding her due payments, despite your mistakes and failures, the honorable thing to do is greet her with a smile, head high, and heart full and to pay your blood debt with the will to redeem yourself. Blame no one for your current troubles. Take responsibility for your role in the game of life. If you won’t play, She will.
