This was a long time coming Max! Anybody that’s driven these things as long as Red deserves their own episode! It’s mind boggling how many different cars he’s piloted over the years! The photos prove that he’s endured adversity over the years! A good one Max!

I have known Red since 1973. I was 13 then. I saw him rip the complete suspension out of Hut Stricklands late model after practice at Bham Super Speedway in 1990. Hut said it was like trying to push a piece of spaghetti around the track. Sat there and watched him with a pencil and paper, worked a helluva math equation, told the boys what shock and spring to install on each corner. Hut passed Mike Harmon going into turn 1 on lap 91 for the lead. Hut won the 100 lapper. Red Farmer is a genius.

Excellent Piece Max, but can I recommend that you play some original 1970's Lynyrd Skynyrd music in the background. I think Ronnie Vanzant (not Johnny VanZant) singing Simple Man amongst many other great Skynyrd songs would be outstanding. "Stand On It Max" !

Thanks Max. What a tribute to a true hard core racer. Loved to see from beginning to the present day, both Red and the cars . The gang would be proud,especially Davey. Hopefully some of the newer fans of NASCAR, now know who he is and what he brought to the sport. A true racer!
