I needed a long-handled fishing net but did not have the 40 dollars, so I took the webbing out of an old racquetball racket and used it to tie deer netting onto the racket to make the net. then there was a hockey stick for 5 dollars at the walmart, so I sawed off the end of it and whittled the stick to fit inside the now empty racket handle. I finished it off with duct tape. In other words, I Red Greened it. works fine, total cost about 6 dollars.

Everytime Red works on a car it's exactly how " my jack [ off ] of all trades " friend works on cars . He's adhd and drinks a case of beer every day to turn down a couple notches his hyperactive self . Once he was about to break that long plastic large plastic cover from end to end the entire length under the dash to fix my cigarette lighter . I took hold of his arm and said , hey look at these four little holes around the radio, cassette player, cig lighter / ashtray area ! he looks , I drive him to the all for a Dollar Store and he says buy a set of these skinny little screwdrivers for a buck . One worked and it came off like a charm ! However it took four times to auto parts store to get the right size cigarette lighter unit . And then another three times to get the correct fuse . It worked for about a week . i guess it was worth it .

Ironically if you built this kind of water wheel system it would actually generate a very slight electrical charge aaannnddd if you made it a little bit more professionally then red green it shouldn't even cause any headache you could even add it as part of a solar panel array setup with only the extra cost of the parts needed to make it, which if you own a 3d printer and know CAD you could even make them yourself, lowering the cost to 3d printer plastic, time and copper wiring.
