Nice Bettas. I had a fish tank when I was in elementary school, but lost interest as kids will do. When I got my first job in a university science lab, one of the technicians was tasked with discarding a Betta that was used in a behavioral science lab. I rescued this Betta, and put him in a large pickle jar. Within a few months I had half a dozen tanks and an outbreak of aquarium accumulation disease. I know the joys of getting new fish, and new tanks, and also the pain of having to disassemble and reduce an aquarium and fish collection. Hurry up and move so I can live vicariously through your videos while to set up your new fish room in your new home.

I feel your struggle with the minerals on the faucet! Have you tried putting vinegar in a baggie, then rubber band it over the faucet to soak for a few hours? that always works like magic for me.

Tip from somebody in plumbing. If it is from calcification, take a cup of cleaning vinegar and hold it up to soak the aerator for about five minutes. That should help. Some faucets have a secure screw too.

If that doesn't help, there is an adapter you can get to go over and around your faucet head to use the python. If there is a way to message on here I can send you a link. They are about $10

The easiest way I found to get that piece of the tap when it is stuck on is take a small cup, put in something that decalcifies, ( eg. CLR) and hold it or tape it to the faucet for about 5 or 10 minutes, then take a pliers and unscrew it. That has always worked for me.

Beautiful bettas. Just a suggestion for packing the bettas( splashy fish) they should use newspaper to wrap the bags only for bettas to prevent them from seeing each other as they will bite the bags and can further stress out the others. Hot tomali... for his red head.🤪🤪🤪

Blood Orange for the betta with the red head would be a cute name I think, but that might just be me. I also love the 10 gallon divided tank, it looks so good. I have some dividers on the way from lifewithpets, so I can do this with 2 of my 10 gallon tanks and it's nice to see what it could look like separated into 3 sections before I do it myself.

You put a control valve on the air line. If I may make a suggestion, add a T-valve first with 1 branch of the T going into the filter, the other branch of the T going into a short piece of airline. Add the valve to that branch and a bit of airline after the valve to act as a muffler. That way, when you want to adjust the volume of air going into the tank, the diverted air is bled off instead of being restricted. This prevents back pressure on your air pump, prolonging the life of the air pump.

I JUST got a couple of these dividers in too. 😂 I haven't used them yet, but they feel like such nice quality pieces and I love it. I second whoever said Gimli. I name all my betta (I have six and contemplating a couple others I've seen if they're not gone). I don't have a name for my blue grizzle halfmoon boy yet, but I've got one other boy named Ponyo who is a rainbow Koi plakat, a bicolor halfmoon female named Pearl, a heavenly lighted veiltail female named Celeste because she's ✨ CELESTIAL ✨, and two female crowntails, one a dark metallic blend of colors depending on the lighting/black headed named Trout because she makes me think of rainbow trout and a lighter one with a face like Baymax named Tuna because she is FIERCE like Tuna fish. What's the light and filter you're using on that tank?
