Thank you for a review of this yarn. I've watched many people try this everyone has struggled even using the instructions on the label.

Thank you so much for letting me know that!! I cut a lot from this video but essentially I was frustrated because I followed their instructions exactly over and over and nothing consistently worked. I was thinking I was the problem! I appreciate you watching!

@@SpiffyHandmade You're welcome some people had to go down a hook size or up a hook size to finally get a granny square. You did a great job.

I have made it work for me. A little bit of frogging here and there. And I had to use a smaller hook. Thanks for your input!

(10:36) I like your honesty. Not everyone likes granny squares. I just happen to be addicted to them. I love the concept of this new yarn.

I think it might be difficult at first to get the hang of how to crochet a granny square but well worth it in the end. No more ends!! I will try a skein and see if my crochet style works with it. If not I will just use it as a regular striping skein n see how that works up.

I agree with you. It is kind of nerve wracking trying to make the color changes work. I actually started a Corner 2 Corner with one skein of this yarn. 😮😢 But I don't know what the answer is.

I do lots of granny squares. I think they are one of my very favorite things to do. I have always change one between each cluster, but has started not doing that on every blanket. I do like the look of not chaining, and I use it, mostly on anything that will go to a baby. I want the holes to be as small as possible. And I think it looks nice. I change between each cluster when I want the blanket to go fast and be larger. I hope this makes sense.

I do a lot of charity blankets, and find the granny Square to be a natural. Sometimes I put the strip of three grannies together and just crochet around them until the blanket is the size I want. The other thing I like to do is to make pretty squares that are large, and go together quickly. I just finished that a blanket that I made out of solid colored squares. So easy, and it looks great. I have never turned my grannies. And I have never had a problem with my granny squares. Looking wonky. Thank goodness. I feel like I have been very lucky. ‘ I enjoyed your video, and thank you for doing it.❤

All colors are beautiful. Pink Punch is the one you were referring to. Thanks for showing the alternative to the pattern.

I like the idea of how this yarn is supposed to work, but it could be pretty neat in other stitches, patterns or even knitted instead of granny squaring it. Would it be pixel like if worked C2C🤔🤔 Hmmm, now I need to learn corner to corner and try to find a skein or few to try it out, lol

Hi Tina! I checked your video out! Very well done. I have subbed to your channel, great content! I also love your homemade hooks! I think I left a comment somewhere over there but it was at the end of your review video and I can’t see it lol. Hopefully it’s on one of your videos or someone is going to wonder what the heck I’m talking about!! Thanks for watching!!

If you’re running out of the particular color, use a smaller hook. Too much yarn, use a larger hook. I don’t think this yarn is for me. Too stressful. 😂

Yeah, I feel like the time ripping out the yarn and redoing it could be me weaving in ends. lol

I love the yarn, but would probably not use it for granny squares. Maybe amigurumis. Thanks for the review.

Seems like too much trouble. I crochet to relax. This would be too stressful for me. I will stick to making my own color changes.

Either that, or if I get this yarn I'll just use it for something besides a granny square, idk yet
@dawns101711 ай бұрын
I do not make a lot of granny squares… probably because of all the ends to weave in. I tried this yarn last night. It really was not a problem. I used a J hook. The colors worked out, but the holes in the granny square seem so big to me. So I’m undecided on this yarn.

I tried their pattern, my pattern, changed ch 3 in the corners to ch 2 and eliminated ch 1 between clusters, two hooks sizes smaller and I can't get it to consistently work every round.
