I love your ink comparisons, particularly when you only do a second pas on the top half of the swatches which I find useful as I tend to use fine or extra fine nibs. I’ve now seen reviews and comparisons of many inks with the exception of Graf Von Faber-Castell. It would be great if you could do a video on these - particularly as they have, when dry, an almost waterproof reputation - which my test with one of the colours seems justified. My writing is largely documenting family history so durability is a plus.

I find the orange like reds inviting. All colors are interesting, but the Terracotta and the Rouge Hematite stands out for me today. I will check them out. Thank you @Penultimate Dave, your videos are always interesting.

Oxblood is beautiful

I also have Oxblood and don't really use it much, even though I quite like seeing the colour here again! Another reminder to myself that I have a pile of pens to clean!

I think for me it's having blood in the name, but also being a very dark red also that doesn't appeal as much to me but I do have it inked up in a fine nib pen and am currently enjoying it.

Another great video! Thanks Dave! If you have any recommendations for a "Christmas or Santa Claus Red" I would greatly appreciate it. That could be a fun video idea too!

I prefer to use Diamine Blue Edition Inkvent Ho Ho Ho for a bright red, and also Mistletoe for a nice mid/darker green.

For numerous reasons, I dislike the name Oxblood so I will not buy that ink. I really do like Diamine red inks. My favorites include Diamine Ruby and Poppy. Another red ink that I really like is Kobe #20 Motomachi Rouge which has a pronounced golden sheen.

I know, the name kills it. I would hesitate to get one myself for that very reason 😮💨

I agree with you, I think it's one reason why I rarely use it, I think it's not because of Ox but more because it has Blood in the name.
