I just found a note to myself on my iPhone from over five years ago that said “listen to Petra Haden King crimson a cappella” I don’t remember writing this note or who would’ve told me about it, but I’m glad I finally found it and listened to it. What an incredible achievement must’ve taken so much hard work to record this.So cool!

Magnificent! Thank you so much. This reminds me of how, originally, musical instruments strived to imitate human voices. This rendition is a statement of the harmonic and timbrical richness humans can produce and how musical composition should aim to exploit these nuances in voices as well as instruments and synthesised sounds.

I'm working on a keyboard version of Red and, hoping you don't mind, i'm using your a-cappella to find all the right notes and harmonies. Your interpretation is very accurate and without all ambience, delays and reverbs. It is crystal clear!

Wow! Some things are different than the original; some embellish and take this new very interesting places the original didn't. Definitely stands as a worthy interpretative piece of music in its own right.
