A fun fact about the Fire and Ice lipstick, I found an article that their 1952 campaign for this lipstick was the first makeup ad that advertised women wearing makeup for themselves as opposed to wearing it to attract a man. As someone who loves makeup and majored in communications/marketing, I found it so awesome and empowering!

I don't own the glossier red gloss, but i do think the elf juicy gloss in "cherry pop" is a pretty good dupe. I love it so much, probably my favorite tinted gloss

a soft red lip is my favorite!! i LOVE the “medieval” red lipstick by lipstick queen. it’s basically a tinted balm with one swipe but you can build it up to get a bit more color. and it’s super moisturizing! plus the color was made to look good on every skin tone. and they also have a more intense version that will give you a more “red lip” effect and they have a gloss in the same shade too! i recommend it to everyone!

I love this! I’m 26 and have been doing a “red-like” tinted lip for almost a decade and swear by it. It’s a great way to look put together without doing a full-on red (though that’s a cute look as well). I personally love sheering out the Lime Crime Plushies, they give off a really great matte-tint look.

another option for red lips without the commitment is the chapstick total hydration tinted lip balm in merlot which obviously is red lol but they have a ton of other really nice colors, they look fabulous on the lips and they are really hydrating! which is good since i think you mentioned you do have kind of dry lips. They are super inexpensive and you can find them at target and ulta! Hope this helps and I would LOVE to hear your opinion on them! ❤️

I love this! I think red tints are so flattering and pretty. My current favorite is the ColourPop So Juicy Gloss in Big Slice, which I usually pair with Mac Oak lip liner. Recently I tried the Peripera Ink Airy Lip Tint, which has a similar vibe. I think you'll really like them!

some of my favorite reds are the clinique chubby stick balm in chunky cherry, it moisturizers your lips very well and gives a nice flush of color. and a gloss i have that reminded me or the fenty gloss was the dior lip glow oil in cherry available at sephora

Envy is never good, at the end of the day your happiness matters, so I’d say just wing it, because if you don’t do it, you’ll end up regretting it in the future. And practice self love, we’re all unique and that’s what makes us beautiful. It’s not gonna be easy but you’ll thank yourself in the end. I get what you are saying but comparing yourself to people is never okay... it’s almost like a hate crime against yourself and your self-steem. Try making things that make you feel good about yourself, we are all beautiful in our own way and we shouldn’t be beating ourselves up because we don’t belong in what social media or society tells us what being beautiful looks like. I, myself, struggle with that battle every day but I’m starting to accept that I will never look like x y and z person and start to love myself and the features that make ME unique. If you want your lips to look bigger use a dark lipliner . I use Mac cork and then put a matte nude . Your lips will look huge.

Revlon Rich Girl Red is my ultimate go to sheer red. I'm so sad they discontinued their sheer formula bc I'm low on that shade and I'm gonna miss it. ☹️ I have Fire and Ice in the creme formula and it does lean pinky on me too. I love a full on red too though. ❤️💄

Wonderful video thank you! I really enjoy this kind of make up content. Categorizing things by color or formula type. I was just in Walgreens tonight and saw the NYX butter gloss shades and there is one called “orangecicle” that is a slightly orange color red and it just looks divine! I may pick that one up. I wanted to recommend to you though, it is cheap as chips! Wet n’ Wild Mega Slicks lipgloss in the shade “my cherry amour”. It is pigmented kind of like these butter glasses but it is quite a true cherry red that isn’t too warm or cool! It’s not pinky either. But it’s glossy and moisturizing! I cannot believe how unknown this product is! I have never seen it talked about before. I think all their other shades are shimmery except this one and they also have a very sheer almost clear looking pinky-red gloss that is also wonderful. I think the shade is called “cotton candy”.

Just saying...we need to be careful about outta the gloss. Glossier needs to own where their management staffers failed, but a lot of the things that are currently circulating are not part of the actual posts. Additionally, some of the complaints made by Outta they gloss need to be taken with a gain of salt - it’s not an act of malice that Glossier doesn’t promote retail staffers to corporate positions. This is something we need to watch out for because some of the issues are legit but others are not, and it’s bad activism if we’re not even identifying the issues correctly.

If you’re looking for a more pigmented gloss and want to support an indie brand I’d suggest oden‘s eye - their Alva cream lip stain (not the matte one, although they’re great too and could sheered out be an alternative to the glossier one!) are amazing! They are really pigmented with an even application, they wear off beautifully and leave a nice subtle stain. They have a lot of red shades so everyone who wants to take a look I’d highly suggests those! Especially if you live in Europe like me and you can’t get your hands on glossier products! Just blot/sheer out the color and you get a pretty similar look to the glossier lip product she showed in the video ^^

As a wearer of a daily crisp red lip,I can tell you that after I put it on,I don’t retouch it until I come back home.The problem lies with those satin lipsticks,where instead you have to put on matte ones.They stay on under the mask and during food.The tinted ones are the problematic for me and I have since gotten rid of them as they smear and wear off horribly.
