I have a Sarah's Crape Myrtle with white blooms that has the most gorgeous fall color I've seen on any tree or shrub. If I remember correctly, it's much more cold hardy than most crape myrtles too.

Love this video series. Looking forward to your video on winter interest. Im revamping my gardens from 90% perennials/10% shrubs to 30% flowering perennials/70% shrubs/small trees.
