Amazing sir! Top down view is insane! You pulling or pushing with the Versa?
@Reefkpr14 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brother!! Sometimes I wish I could view the top down all the time...... I'm pulling with the Versa. Biggest reason for pulling is the reactor sits outside the tank behind a chair on carpet. In the pull config, if it ever sprung a leak the flooding would only be the water volume in the reactor rather than having an endless supply of water from the tank.

Both are GREAT!!! The Versa is a bit quieter, which I like. I'm using the Kamoer to drip Kalkwasser now at lower ml per minute the kamoer is silent.
@Reefahholic4 жыл бұрын
Does the Vertex ever get any bubbles? I sealed the hole where my reactor was leaking bubbles at the Uniseal, but I'm still getting random bubbles from somewhere. Not near as bad as before I fixed the leak, but still some bubbles from time to time. I wonder if it's merely the CO2 dissolving the media and creating the bubbles now? My reactor drifts when there's bubbles. Not bad, but enough to tick you off. I want it to be solid as I can get it.
@Reefkpr14 жыл бұрын
Yes the Vertex gets bubbles at the top of the lid in the first chamber. It does have a recirculation line but once in a while the gas going into the pump makes a wooshing sound. I re-purposed my pinch valve to choke down the recirculating co2 which makes it quieter.
@Reefahholic4 жыл бұрын
@Reefkpr same here. When I had a lot of bubbles from the leak it was drifting “over time” like in 8-12 hrs it would drift by maybe 0.5 (a slow steady trend up or down), but now it’s way more stable. The drift is only like 0.2 or maybe 0.3 in 12-24 hrs. If no bubbles it’s pretty solid.

Amazing! Tank looks so good. Those Sicce pumps (I've seen them on Parkers Reef too) look like an awesome option. I am probably going to get the SDC return pump on my next build (also as I heard they are designed to be super easy to clean). Hopefully you get those AEFW under control - what about Purge (like by Underwater Creations who do Vibrant)? I guess you have discussed that too so what was the feedback? Pulling out the acros and dipping them is probably not going to fix it - you are right - it will just stress the corals. Great to see 2 Copperbands ;)
@Reefkpr14 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sunny. The Sicce pumps are awesome. I have a return I still need to get hooked up. Mixed reviews on the Purge. Think I'll just keep fighting using my method as the corals are doing well for the most part. Appreciate you stopping by.

@@Reefkpr1 Oh man I love an incredible tank - it inspires me... and its great to see how different reefers handle different problems (+ & -ve) differently. I heard the Flatworm Stop works by making the coral tissue thicker and maybe less tasty, whilst the Purge kills the flatworms. So I was wondering if using them together may be more powerful (as I read with Purge many people had them and they came back). So I was just asking if you considered it as I understood you were happy and there is no point causing bigger issues trying to fix something that is under control.
