That's interesting! Nice discovery for someone from Burkina Faso as I am! We have the same type of food too. The Mossi people do call the same leaves "bito" as well, tamarind water "pusa", the porridge "saag binré". Both languages are definitely close to one another. We add dawa dawa , dry fish, etc... in the soup, everything! Thanks for sharing 😊 I learned something today

So many good comments especially all who contributed to educate those of us with little or NO knowledge of the area. The most important thing I learned from this video and comments is that I MUST go to more wonderful places like this when I'm back in Ghana. I need to know so much more than I do. Staying in metro areas is a handicap if you sincerely want to learn the culture of the country. I'm greatly looking forward to it when I return. It's too bad that during a great portion of my life, I've missed too much of what I hoped to learn from over 30 years ago. All of you, be on the lookout for this "ol lady" Help me develop into a more knowledgeable soul. Thank you.

You would love it. Dont forget that the Caribbean ppl was taken from the mother Land Africa as slaves. So we still have some of the culture passed down by our ancestors. The country that I know that have similar culture with Africa is Haïti. The way that they prépare their food. They also pound their seasoning etc. Then it's Jamaica. But we all have something about our cooking and way of life that reflects Africa. Caribbean is à closter of many islands some speaking French Creole, English Creole and Dutch Creole. Also speaking Spanish, English French Dutch. You will love it. Dépends on which one you visit. I will tell you from now. The dominican Republic speak Spanish and dont like black ppl. I have visited many time. I speak their language so they never mess with me, but I see the way hate Haitians which is their neighbours. They share the same land divided into 2. Guess I thought you some géographe about the Caribbean. I would like to visit Ghana. We look like ghanians. So maybe they took the Caribbean ppl from Ghana. Pasa un buen dia
