I think people forget just how young Yeri was when she debuted. She’s still so young - 21. Female bodies go through so much change it’d be weird to me if she didn’t experience any body changes. As for Yeri, I don’t understand why she gets hate, like I’ve seen a few times she was out of sync with her members while dancing, and people bashed her for it. Like honestly people can make mistakes, and those were minor mistakes. Also other idols get hate for no reason, like Lana, who’s Russian/Tatar, she was being hated on because people thought she was a koreaboo. But she respects Korean culture and she’s fluent in Korean. But overall we don’t want any idols to commit suicide or anything, losing Jonghyun, Sulli, Goo Hara, and many others who died. Yeri composed, produced and directed her solo song Dear Diary and if you look up the lyrics its a very gentle song to herself basically being like "hey friend, please take care of yourself, the sadness will pass". She started doing a youtube show entirely by her own violition bc she wanted to see fans more often. She's a very friendly caring person who has alot of creativity, and thats the reason she has so many celebrity friends-because they see her worth and talent even if SM and netizens dont. Red velvet's stylist doesn't know how to style yeri that would compliment her body shape. For instance the purple and black outfit yeri wore that we see at the beginning of this video makes her legs look shorter and her waist more boxy. I want to add a small information: the friend who passed away was Shinee's Jonghyun. Jonghyun was one of her vocal coaches since she was *really* young. Imagine losing somebody who you grew with, both as a person and as a professional singer. Jonghyun's passing hit the whole industry quite harshly. Why should be Yeri to blame? She has feelings. Yeri is one of my ults in kpop and I'm truly disgusted by all the hate she gets. Posting nasty comments about someone's body is wrong whatever their age but to send hate to a minor is on a whole other level. There's a special place in hell for people like that and for the people who criticized her "bad attitude" after one of her close friends suddenly died. Gotta laugh at how netizens preach about mental health but wrote abuse about Yeri under those particular circumstances. Something not mentioned in the video is that during Power Up era (summer 2018) she was actually having to take IV lines to get through performances cause she was so unwell. She seems like such a kind and bright person, she's intelligent (probably the best English speaker after Wendy), she wrote and composed her solo song and she's kept going through the years despite all the hate. I really wish her the best and I hope she has a long, successful, happy career.

I remember back when she was added to the group, she was receiving soooooo much hate. I was quite furious, so I was always arguing with the haters in the comments sections of various videos because those haters were just being rude and unreasonable as hell 🙄🙄🙄 looking back, I think I might've been kinda immature with how I responded to some haters, but seriously I felt and still feel so terrible about all of the hate she received just for being added to the group ☹️ she was so young back then and still is.
