I can never understand how people always label Cat as bad defensively. He's definitely no Bergeron, but he's much better than people give him credit for. He competes harder without the puck than most goalscorers.

This team has no talent. Larkin is a 2nd liner on any average to good team. We have no true goal scorers. Kane used to be but is washed up now. Defense is awful. The coach can only do so much. This roster is AHL caliber. And that falls on Yzerman.

I disagree. Goaltending has actually been one of our stronger spots this year. Defense is brutal. Offense can't score. PK is terrible. Without Talbot, they'd probably be dead last in the league.

Doesnt matter what they do until a redwing goalie can stop the fn puck , there's been so many games the team was playing hard and the other team gets the puck and scored on the first / second or 3rd shot , its absolutely deflating for a team , all 3 of the Wings goalies r absolutely trash , i think only Talbot has a SV% over 9.00 the rest is like 8.47 or lower , cant win NHL games like that

Talbot has a 2.79 GAA with .912 save % (12th in the league) with a below-average defense. Definitely not his fault, he's doing pretty good. Especially for the age of 37.

Dude…. Goaltending has NOT been the problem this season at all. Look at the metrics. Usually when someone doesn’t know much about hockey, they blame the goalie. My lord man.
