Giving a weeping widow 2 dollars for the death of her husband might just be the most evil thing you can do in this game.
@Kacpa2 Жыл бұрын
Well it worth much more than current day 2 dollars but still is hardly anything as a gesture. Modern day 75-ish dollars wont get her husband back, but would help for a while. Given than you could buy some life stock for 5$ for your farm in late 19th century. Living cost was closer to mkdern 3rd world countries, so it could last her for several months. Ideally ofc he should give more if he has more.

The first lady came at me in Rhodes while working for the sheriff. I really didn’t appreciate the tone she came at me with, but I couldn’t shoot her for it, so I had to listen. And I came to realize how wrong it was for me to kill so many people. I felt so bad, all I wanted to do was reunite her with her husband, make it all right again. I apologized, and as I rode away, it came to me. I could reunite her and her husband. I turned the horse around and ran him as fast as I could back to the lady. That horse ran so fast, he smacked her right down to hell. And that’s how the horse Caligula began the reign of terror that would make him the third most prolific mass murdered in US history.

Gta 6 will probably expand upon this both single player and online. Now your actions truly matter, and NPC'S will react to your rampage/ nonsensical killings. Rdr 2 online already has it with a bounty meter raising the more you kill innocents and other players killing you for money/ honor/ revenge for killing innocents.
@makavili4429Ай бұрын
@@mellochello921 Idk I feel like GTA World and RDR World are two very different places. RDR feels more based in reality and morality, where the game forces you to self reflect on your actions and karma actually exists; whereas GTA seems to be more a satirical take on the modern world. GTA allows you to be cartoonishly evil without much consequence, conceding to the idea that it is a fictional world where you can do whatever you want for entertainment and comedic purposes, whereas RDR makes you bear the weight of true evil and consequence. GTA is satirical comedy like South Park, and RDR takes itself more seriously like a well written western action drama story.

I've been trying to be good in the game, but I swear the game doesn't want you to be good. I was at a crossroads, where some "White Dot encounter" wanted to take my horse and started shooting me, so I killed him. So while I was trying to hide the body, a stagecoach went by, so I had to shoot everybody in it and hide the bodies to avoid a bounty, but people kept coming through the crossroads while I was trying to hide the bodies. Eventually I had bodies laying around all over the area, and just rode my horse far into the woods, and snuck into Strawberry to pay my bounty.

Pretty sure you can just leave if it's an encounter where they try to steal. Long as you don't lose honor, I don't think the game will count it as murder and more self defense... at least that's what I've seen in my game so far.
@yoavbenclaudia3073 Жыл бұрын
So long as you’re quick enough, you don’t have to hide the body. It’s not modern day. They would have no way of tracing any of that back to you, even if it were in real life. In game, it’s even easier than that. As far as constant movement on the road, yes, I agree that the spawn rate makes the roads seem a bit busy, and I’m sure crossroads have a higher spawn rate (understandably). Just learn the spawn rate based on location and time of day, if you ever want to mug someone. Playing an honorable playthrough, usually you aren’t burdened for self defense, and even when you are, you don’t have to kill the witness. The game teaches you that mechanic early on, that you can threaten or even sweet talk (and I think bribe?) witnesses to calm them down. If you’re worried about the hassle, then just bolt it as soon as you’ve killed an attacker. Standing around dead bodies is was makes you suspicious in the game.

I mean, you gotta have the hole already dug before you show up with a package in the trunk. Otherwise, you're talking about a half-hour to forty-five minutes worth of digging. And who knows who's gonna come along in that time? Pretty soon, you gotta dig a few more holes. You could be there all fuckin' night.

You take things for granted when you play games like this. Seriously, hundreds of hours of little things to find, and the thought was put into it, to have these widows. And not only give thing spoke dialog, and interactions, but like with the last one, dialog and specific reactions to you pulling a gun on them. Anyone that doesn't think that video games can be pure art, have never taken the time to play a game like this one and really appreciate the incredible details, and how long it took to think up, and implement them all to where it would feel like a living breathing world.

This is honestly a better way of making you feel bad for your negative actions in a game than all of Last of Us 2. In RDR2, you can choose to be as cold-hearted and evil as you want, so when you see the consequences, it hits different. Last of Us 2 forces you to do violent and evil things over and over again with contrived writing, and then expects you to feel guilty when it’s all over.
@albertwesker404 Жыл бұрын
That wretched game......
@John-996 Жыл бұрын
For real RDR2 does such a great job of that. Manhunt is another game that lets you brutally kill people but its up to you as the player to decide how brutally you kill enemies. Kingdom come is anothet game that felt so immersive it felt like I had actually killed someone. Last of us 2 tries to make you question violence but I feel like RDR2 and Manhunt did a much better job at making me actually think about my actions. I feel like this much more in the strength of a video game then being forced to kill NPCs in last of us 2.
