Great Video! I am a total novice when it comes to 12v wiring. 3 questions: 1. Based on Radarc's wiring diagrams, it looks like you went with higher rated fuses than they have spec'd, any reason for this? 2. What gauge wiring did you use for the main connections between the batteries and Redraw equipment. And 3. for the grounds coming off of the shunt and negative bus bar, did you ground those to the battery negative, or to a chassis ground? Thank You in advance!

Hey mate, that’s for the comment!! Brandon’s build was amazing, he’s currently up the top end somewhere living the dream! We did this a while ago so trying to get to remember is nearly impossible as Brando did a lot of the work himself. Needless to say, I think the cables were all much bigger than spec to allow for future proofing and less voltage drop. The negative I’m sure would have been taken from the battery negative. Brando would have used the fuses from spec. Hope that helps!

Hey quick question, how do you call the white plastic pieces that you used to spread the output of the rogue and as a connector? 19:14

Hey mate, these are screw terminal strips. Easy to get at Jaycar and the likes. Can come in many different sizes and amps. Here’s a link to one - www.jaycar.com.au/10-amp-12-way-screw-terminal-strip/p/HM3196 Hope this helps!

@@MudModsBeers thank you for replying so fast. Awesome video, love the attention to detail with the wiring, labelling the wires, heat shrink over the conduit and going the extra step to add isolators to everything. Keep it up.

Great video guys, The bracket on the drivers side under the bonnet with the bussman fuse holders, was that an off the shelf thing? What point was used for the earth inside the troopy?

Thanks mate, really appreciate the comments! The busbar was home made by Brando, not sure what he made it out of. I’ve ended up doing a similar thing in the 79, it’s in a recent video when we tidied up the engine bay. I got mine from springers. The earth as far as I can remember was taken from the negative of the cranking battery and run straight to the negative busbar behind the rogue. Hope this helps! Richo

Great Video Guys..!! What size Cable do you have on the mounting Board with the USBs ??? You mention 3mm Cable but the cable coming out of the USBs looks fairly thick !! like it is 5mm?? Cheers !!

Hey mate, thanks for the comments! Yes every cable is over engineered! For the USB’s it was a twin cable from memory, I’ll have to check but fairly sure it was 3mm, but run per socket, not daisy chained. Cheers mate!

Deutsch connectors are much better, it why they are heavily used in automotive industry and they are also much cheaper and easier to use... Most appliances are under 10amp (especially when Rogue is only 10amp), so Anderson plugs are overkill
