As you guys know Brando is building a Troopy to go around Australia and came to us to help build him a 12V system that is worthy of the journey and the Redarc Rogue is the perfect system that is up to the job. We take a deep dive into how all the cables are run and take a look at our first impressions and what we think of the system overall. Spoiler alert.... we love the system and think that everyone can learn a trick or two from this build.

Excellent Video Guys..!! Question : BMS30......What size Cable:: Power in and Ignition source, and where did you source the Ignition source in from? ....On the Positive House Battery ,where does everything connect too, I can see the Shunt Pos but trying to figure out the rest ??. One last one, Can you throw some light on how you ran the 2 way hookup for the Water Pump switch to the Rouge input....Love the Red Disco Lights 😁 Cheers Guys..!!!!!🤟

Thanks mate, loving the feedback! I’ve asked Baz to answer this, he’s the brains behind this install. Here’s his answer: Hey mate, so your cable size really depends on the length of cable run and the load draw. However as a generalisation use a minimum of 8 B&S cable or if it is over a 3m cable run use 6B&S. We opted to then upsize again to 4B&S for extra load draw and future proofing, however that is not necessary for most installs. For ignition, it is a 12v trigger essentially. We used 3 or 4mm (cant remember) automotive cable (please note "B&S" is different to "mm" in reference to cable sizing). You can run the ignition to the engine bay fuse block, grab a multimeter and test what has power when the ignition is on (motor doesn't have to be running just the key position). The rest of the cables on the positive terminal are the feeds to the circuit breakers. Hope this helps!

No worries: So on the dual switching the rogue has blue and grey cables coming out of the input plug. You need to run a twin cable to the switch from the rogue. Connect the blue cable to the line or feed side of the switch and connect the grey to the load or switched side of the switch. Most switches have 4 prongs on the back, the other 2 that arent in use will be the LED of the switch itself which you will need to run an earth or negative to and for power come off your dash lights or ignition depending on how you want the switch LED light to operate. From there you will need to program the switch in on the configuration app. Select the type of switch you have used and go from there.

Sorry...Guys....Another Question !!! .........What size are those10 gang strip blocks that connect to the Rougue ..10amp.. 20 amp 30 amp and are they from Bunnos or Jaycar?? Cheers !!!!!!

All good mate! They were just the biggest and second biggest that jaycar had. Not 100% on the amp rating. Very much overkill though. Hope that helps?
