Looking at the CVT I called 57. It is awesome having that much torque because right when the engine is out of RPM You get a burst of acceleration from the CVT while the engine is in the power band and does not slow down. That thing RIPS! Go team 999!

Love to see that engine in a road bike just to see people trying to work out what you built. This engine can be upgraded a whole lot without going mad. 999 road to horse power maybe?

I think I've commented on this buggy before, but I'll say it again. This is by far my favorite build that you have done I would love to have this same exact build. It sounds freaking awesome. And it runs as good as it sounds. But since I'm broke, I will. Sit back. And dream and watch youtube videos😂

I'd guessed '52 for Greg, and 57mph for Lonnie. Came close to being right. That's a Great fix guys. I'll have to go back to Redneckcomputergeek's sight and look at his clutch.Even though his doesn't have the 'bell', his only let the belt go 1/2 way too. TY for the great lesson, and fun.

What happened to the 459cc road to horsepower?
@iheart3dprinting9513 ай бұрын
I think there are some discoveries in how they do the bearings are in it where nobody (aftermarket builders) wants to do anything aftermarket with an untrusted bearing layout. I am NOT an expert. I wondered the same thing and wound up getting a duromax 440. The general consensus is that it (Predator 459) will never be a modders engine. Goodluck.

You can use the flex plate of an auto trans and a high torque starter for push button reverse. Also Porsche 930 cv axles work great for a double a arm suspension. Check out protodie and bad land buggies for ideas. 🏁😎👍👍

Any ideas on a hi-lo transmission for a large mini bike? I am going to build something similar to a Rokon with about 25x11-8 tires but just 1 wheel drive. Thinking about a Duromax 500 engine with a CVT on top of a hi-lo trans for deer dragging torque.

When will make the duromax 999 cc street legal manual chopper.. we all are waiting for that build... It'll be first with that engine and a transmission on the entire youtube... Why don't u guys wanna be the first on the KZbin for that build ... It'll be so much usable and would make sens to build and ride it.. u can literally road trip that thing and start a complete new series chugging miles on that thing ... Moto vlogging the entire road trip

Been watching for a few years, got me a 2020 hammerhead gts 150cc, I have the hammerhead adjustable cdi box, aftermarket coil, 42mm air filter with a curved volicity stack, i have 7.5 gram rollers, 2000 rpm galixal clutch, high speed variator, 150cc nitrous kit 20cc bottles, changed out the 16 tooth drive sprocket, to a 15, with 24" tires on the back and 23" on the front, not for highway use, only off-road hill climbs and mud top speed is about 27mph, just wondering if you know how to adjust the cdi box of if you can find the information I cannot, it's a hammerhead proformace cdi box, and has 2 adjustments

how a 999cc is running slower than my 200cc stock??? 40mph
@Drunken_HamsterАй бұрын
It's, uhhh, not possible for a 600cc naturally aspirated engine to make 80lb-ft. The limit for N/A power on pump gas is about 88lb-ft per liter of displacement, and anything below 84 is unoptimized with anything below about 80 being, well, just plain bad. Look up David Vizard to learn more, your 670 builds have a lot more in them than off-the-shelf parts will allow and should be putting out 55+ lb-ft if done right. Imagine an 8500rpm, 77hp, 55lb-ft all motor 670. It _should_ be possible according to DV's teachings. At the very least a 7300rpm 66hp version (same torque).
@larryw54294 ай бұрын
2000 bucks for a air cooled v twin for a glorified go cart is retarded. Buy a 500 dollar snowmobile and put the engine in it or pony up and get a used Yamaha 4 stroke snowmobile engine or complete sled and put 160 hp in it and I guarantee you it will blow the doors off that pile of glorified lawn mower engine away!
@RedBeardsGarage4 ай бұрын
Probably would. But why build everything like everyone else. Its fun to use different engines on these buggy's. With 160hp on this chassis you would never be able to enjoy that much hp.

I have always found it extremely absurd that you could buy a 999 cc engine and have it top out at 35 mph .. seriously why? Why do you only get35 out of a stock 999?? I mean I know why but WTF?? If i didn’t know that and I paid all that money to be slower then my 241cc small block I would be livid
@PotatoeJoe694 ай бұрын
Why? What do you mean why? It's gearing, and the gearing has nothing to do with the engine, because the engine itself is not made for go karts, it's made for generators, pumps and other equipment. The owner puts the gears on, and the gears are what dictate the top speed. With the correct gearing for speed, bone stock, I'd bet money these would push something to 100mph.
@RedBeardsGarage4 ай бұрын
@PotatoeJoe69 said it for me!

It's the gearing and clutching.
@joshuabartley12793 ай бұрын
Kids lol. The 999 will carry you 35 up a steep hill while your small block is at a stand still with the belt smoking. Because you like speed, no matter if the race is over by the time you get to your 60 all the kids scream about. This is off-road. Not the street in front of moms.
@racerothery27163 ай бұрын
Guys i obviously by my comment and my own builds I already know that. My main thing was IF I DIDNT KNOW or have any mechanical inclination I would be pissed that my 999 topped out at 35 and don’t say GEARING.. yeah that helps but that pulley was an issue from Jump and a gear wouldn’t have fixed it
