It is a very cool little truck, I was very impressed with it doing so well on the jagged rocks I have out there being it is so small. The red is super nice looking and I wish I could get a couple cans of the paint for other kits!! I am glad you enjoyed it!

I’m thinking of picking up one of these. For only $100 that includes bearings, sliders and portals. Redcat nailed this. Expect the aftermarket to explode for this in the coming months. I’ve also been informed that some trx4m parts including motors are drop in mods. Glad you like yours 👍🏻

I think they did their homework and came up with a very solid platform. It looks good and performed great, I was really impressed with it. With some weight down low it will only get better and I agree, the aftermarket is going to love this one and folks are going to gobble it up! I have not heard the parts compatibility thing yet, that is interesting. I think if you get one you will enjoy it. Fomr a couch course to the flower beds and even the trails I think it will do great.

There are a great little truck, I was really impressed with it. It ran around on the jagged rocks with little issue, some of the 1/10 scale trucks get hung up more often out there! It looks good and that red is beautiful! I had a great time with it and my neighbor actually came down and she ran it around for a while too! It has been nice weather for a change here. The rain has not bothered us for a while now!

Thanks Dirk! It is a nice looking truck and it did really well out on the jagged rocks. I though it would have a harder time with them but it did well! I got the new tires in today so I need to get them mounted up for its next run with the brass wheels. I think it should do even better. The red looks really nice!

They did a great job with this one. The generic, unlicensed body looks good and the red is great! The performance is very good and I though it was going to get hung up all over those rough and jagged rocks I have out there but it did great. Some weight down low it is going to do even better. Redcat did their homework with this one and it shows. I love how quiet it is. I was not going to put music in the run at all but it ended up being too quiet! Take care Mark!

Hey there John! It is a good looking and quite capable little truck from what it did the other day out there. I was very impressed with it out on the jagged rocks, it handled them with little issues. I think with a little weight down low it is going to be even better. I am sure they will be over there soon, I wish the shipping rates were not so silly as well. There is just something about the way it almost glows... and looks ultra dark at the same time. We just had a cold snap and some snow in the past week. No fun on the rocks for me...yet...

For that price I'd grab one too they seem to be a great little rig struggling to get the redcat ascent in Australia I tried a few times to get the 10th scale version there's a new version just come out in the last few days hopefully that one might end up in my collection great little course you've got going there great to see the dog out with you aswell they love exploring while making rc content take care Addam 👊

Hopefully these little guys or at least one of the full sized ones makes it over there to you. I know Brent loves the 1/10th scale version and this 1/18 version did extremely well. I was not sure how well it was going to handle the jagged rocks but it did very well considering many of the rocks were as big as the truck! The old dog is deaf as a post and she was too busy sniffing around to see it coming so she got startled, she came right back to continue to investigate. I got a chuckle out of it! I am going to get some weight under it and get it back out for another run soon, I had a great time with it.

It is a really nice little crawler, an indoor firewood course would be a lot of fun with it! It is about the perfect size, big enough to go outdoors and run around with little problems and still small enough to run indoors just about anywhere! I hope the price doesn't skyrocket on them for you guys, seems to always be the case though. I caught the puppy off guard, she is deaf now so she was more worried about sniffing around and did not see it until the last minute. I had a good giggle out of it. She immediately came back to investigate it more. I am feeling fine now and had a good time out there! Take care guys and have a great week.

They seem to have nailed it with this one, I really can't complain about anything. It looks good, drove exceptionally well and it is quiet. The price is the cherry on top! Even at the full $120 price it is a great truck and once the aftermarket gets hold of this it is going to be a course killer!

Your review and test confirms everything I've seen. I bought one and I also got the candy red color. I think this little crawler may be the best way to get someone into crawling. You can run it outside in a beautiful spot like you have or indoors. My local hobby shop posted a picture of a stack of these at their shop. I don't think they will last long. Great video!

@@AddamsPlayground One thing that a receiver mentioned is the fact that it comes with a larger battery than many little crawlers giving your more run time, which is important for the younger or new drivers.

@@michaeldorich4485 Yes, it does come with a bigger battery than most and I know I ran this one for around 25 -30 minutes roughly and it was still at 3.78v per cell when I got inside so I didn't have to even put a storage charge in it, it was already there! Dumb luck but it does run for a good amount of time.

@@AddamsPlayground A few days ago Redcat came out with a fifth scale truck and today I read that they came out with a brushless version of the tenth scale Ascent called the Redcat Ascent Fusion LCG with Hobbywing electronics. They are really trying to take on the big boys.

It ran really well out there on the jagged rocks. I was expecting it to get hung up a lot but it did very well. It helps the smaller size lets you pick your way through them. They did a great job with it and the red is really great looking. Nice deep candy look in person. They really created a great little truck for a decent price!

Best part is there is now obnoxious whine from it and there are now turn signals blinking all over the place!! LOL! I hope they show up over there soon!

It is a really nice size, small but big enough to be capable outdoors. My SCX24 is more of an indoor truck and the TRX4M while bigger does not do this well outdoors. It was a lot more expensive too! I really liked how well this drove on the jagged rocks I have. The candy red is a great looking color too! They need to make that color available in rattle cans!

Hey Jeremy, they did really well with this one. It has a decent looking body for a unlicensed, nondescript shell and it runs great right out of the box. It needs a little weight down low but that is common for pretty much every crawler right out of the box. Overall it did very well and I think with the brass wheels on it that is will do even better!! I was so very happy it was so quiet, I really can't stand the electronics squeal at all. half because it is annoying and the other have it just cheaply made stuff that is programmed properly it would not make that noise!

I still haven't. hit the smaller stage stuff. I sure have been tempted. This Does REALLY seem to be a great buy for the price. You're right as well. Man it is SO quiet. THAT is unheard of. I think if you got this one you would be happy with it. It is not going to be the great adventure machine like the SCX6 or the the mud and water trucks like the SCX10s but a great one for around the house, the yard or an occasional rock garden or mulch bed!! It still did well on the jagged rocks on my course some some of your trails may be good for it. I did mount the tire on the front and it was going to rub a lot on the body. I could trim it but for now will run the same size they have on there.

They came up with a great little crawler right out of the box and the price is really nice too! I was so very happy to hear it was not a squealing ESC in there, that drive me batty, way worse than turn signals on a crawler! LOL! I caught dog off guard, she is pretty much deaf now so she was busy sniffing around and didn't see it until the last second! I was laughing in the background at her reaction! I will get the brass wheels on it and go back out and give it another go. Might do some before and after testing with it on the bench first out of curiosity too.

There are a ton of them out there now and I have a few. This one is the best performing out of the box for indoor and outdoor running. After I got it I realized that the blue is the same blue as my Gen 8 scout, so their kinda Redcat twinsies.. lol I'm impressed at how good it did being a smaller version. I agree, the 1/18 the scale is a better happy medium for me. The 24th scale ones are fine for specific course and indoor fun but struggle with real sized trails and obstacles. The 1/18 ones are more dual purpose, you can get them out on a trial and run over most things and still be small enough to conquer a couch course on a rainy day! This one surprised my out on the rocks, I am very happy with it.

It is great size as it works well outside but is still small enough to run inside on a course crawler course!! Yes! I really love how quiet it is at low speed. Higher speeds you can hear the gearing but the low speed quiet is perfect. I loath whiney ESCs, much more than I can't stand turn signals on off road trucks! LOL!
