For once that we've play a frustrating game for the other team ! Just remember that's why we didn't win the world cup, because we are to integre and sportmen like. Also England had to win this game if they wanted to end in the final four and we had the job done fast ! I'm sure Martinez had the possibility to get the almost the full team for this game because there was a high stake but that he needed to preserve some key players. Most of them weren't playing anymore and we were barely trying to get in their square. Lukaku and Torgan were recovering from an injury. De Bruyne nor Mertens rushed much after the 2-0. And when you see Courtois overly playing the timer of that failed pass from an englishman at the 65', that's clearly means a lot of them didn't intend to take unneccessary effort on the pitch. What I don't get is that Martinez should have changed his game set around the 60'. From a 3-4-3 to a 4-4-2, with a two speeds team. Replace Lukaku, who we almost didn't use at it's best, and Mertens for Batshuayi and Lukebakio, as pressing strikers to put ease off the pressure of on our defense and make the Three Lions less confident because we gave them too much ground and possession. They could have annoyed them a lot, even scored because unlike they other they need that playing time. De Bruyne for Praet would have been more relevant than Mertens, and reinforcing the mid layer of defenders. In a way that 3-4-3 was almost a 4-4-2 by it's philosophy of not pushing forward but at least it would have make things clearer on the pitch. I just feel bad for Kane though. England is relying way too much on him to score and to construct the offensives. The dude isn't a one man team ! Grealish had also a lot of potential compare to a Sterling or any other "queen" who think they're actually good !
