The News reader said " and we remember Helen Reddy who passed away today " My heart sank as the realisation hit that one of the world's greatest singers had died. Helen was very ' Australian ' a great ambassador for us as Australians. As a man, I love to sing " I am Woman " very loud. Helen helped to emancipate 51% of Australia's population at a time when Gough Whitlam came to Government in December 1972. It was great timing. Gough's Government was progressive not conservative. After 23 yrs of Liberal/Country Party Government keeping Australia in the dark, Labor had to work fast. Abolishing conscription, bringing our troops home from Vietnam, Women's Rights, Aboriginal Rights, Funding Arts and Culture, JJ 1540 AM Radio, Countdown on ABC TV with Molly Meldrum, the long list goes on.......... As an 11 yr old in a very political household, I remember thinking that this woman, Helen Reddy, was the voice of these great social changes. Well, she was a major part of a very important time in Australian history. She was a very strong and powerful singer who sang brilliant songs. I love her very much and am very saddened by her passing

Such a dark little rekkid. Ms. Reddy had one hell of a soulful voice. Dig it. She was also uniquely sexy. Nice drum fill @ 1:56

This sounds like it would be a perfect plot for a horror movie about a strange girl and a bewitched radio. I think this would be the full plot. Even though it's a reference to the second verse, the first scene would probably be Angie in her room, listening to her radio, and dancing with someone. Then they would show her daddy outside her room tapping on her door, entering the room, and asking if she's alright, and telling her to go to bed. But he, and Angie would be the only people in the room. The person she was dancing with would be gone. (And you might hear a little scary music, which would make you a little suspicious that something weird was going on.) Lovers appear in your room each night And they whirl you across the floor But they always seem to fade away When your daddy taps on your door Angie girl, are you alright? Tell the radio goodnight All alone once more, Angie baby The next scene would be a reference to the first verse. (Angie's parents talking about how she can't go to school, and make friends.) You live your life in the songs you hear On the rock n' roll radio And when a young girl doesn't have any friends That's a really nice place to go Folks hoping you'd turn out cool But they had to take you out of school You're a little touched, you know, Angie baby The next scene would be about the evil boy entering the room, intending to hurt Angie. Stopping at her house is a neighbor boy With evil on his mind 'Cause he's been peeking in Angie's room At the night through her window blind I see your folks have gone away Would you dance with me today? I'll show you how to have a good time, Angie baby Then they would show the radio with a strange glow, and then the boy would suddenly become a victim of the radio. (You would think he was the first victim. And that's when you would know it's a horror movie.) When he walks in her room he feels confused Like he walked into a play And the music's so loud it spins him around 'Til his soul has lost its way And as she turns the volume down He's getting smaller with the sound It seems to pull him off the ground Toward the radio he's bound Never to be found disappearance, and wondering what happened to him, not knowing about the radio, and what it did. The headlines read that a boy disappeared And everyone thinks he died After that, more and more people would enter Angie's room, and become victims of the radio. (And, like I said, somehow, everyone except for her family would become victims.) Then eventually her daddy would see someone enter Angie's room. Then he would enter the room, just in time to witness the person becoming a victim. (I could be wrong, but I think this would happen more than once, because he would eventually know the radio was what caused the people's disappearances, and he would warn people not to enter Angie's room. He would tell them that she's crazy. ("It's so nice to be insane") He would tell them, that she has a radio, and that she somehow gave it the power to cause people to disappear. I don't know what would happen after he warned everyone, but the movie would end with him somehow destroying the radio, and everything would be the way it was before Angie got the radio. (a happy ending of a horror movie)
