RECIPE 'FÜRZCHEN'
Ingredients
50g butter
250 ml water
150g gluten free flour
30g corn flour
1tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
6 eggs
Method
Mix the water with the butter and add a pinch of salt. Bring it to the boil.
Remove the pot from the heat and add the flour mixed with the corn flour.
Keep stirring using a wooden spoon until you form a sort of dumpling. Wait a little until the dumpling has cooled down. Add the eggs one after another using dough hooks. Finally add the baking powder. The batter is ready once it's shiny and smooth.
In the meantime heat up some frying oil. Once it's hot enough, use a bit of batter and dip it into the frying oil using 2 spoons. The 'Fürzchen' are done once they rise to the surface and have a lovely golden colour.
Last but not least coat the Fürzchen in some icing sugar and enjoy!
