Dude I'm super excited aswell. I've been out of the knife game almost 10 yrs. I just ordered the redencion as well for $199 from blade hq. I'm happy reate makes his knives now as their a great company. Hopefully it'll be worth it. Should be here in 2 days.

BEEFER! If you're going to get a 1st Chaves, this would be the one. If you use Sezzle, they spread the amount over 4 weeks. Something to consider.

I’m also curious why they didn’t put in a sharpening choil. Before I got it in hand, I assumed they needed that flat spot for the Kickstop mechanism. But it seems that nothing comes in contact with that area. It’s my only small nit pick with the knife, I think a choil would have been nice. It’s an incredible piece of engineering and badass design work.

Yup, I agree. Given the lack of a sharpening choil, not a good choice for your EDC hard use Chaves. I still owe you that comparison video.

The steel pin for the kickstop mechanism riding inside a milled slot in the titanium handle is cause for wear concerns. I prefer that the clip screws be hidden too.

The Tak is like buying a Chavez but saying I don't like the Skull clip 😢 Well go buy something else then 😂 It's half the knife.

Get a Street model in your hands. Perfect size. And, if you don't like the skull clip, it swaps out pretty easy. I just mess around to get reactions when I talk shit about the skull clip haters. In actuality, the new 229 Kickstop looks pretty clean and mean with the alternate clip.

@@geneticmodifiedviking I'm with ya though how can you want to buy a Chavez but say. I'd buy it if they changed the clip. It's a huge part of the knife. I don't think those people are actual buyers
