Sorry guys, I am all about change but losing the yellow robs the brand. Honestly, the overall design is safe and appealing enough but does not express anything other than safe. My first flight was on Lufthansa, when I was 6 years old, from Kingston, Jamaica to New York City, and the yellow stood out and continues to this day. That was over 44 years ago and I recently took a few Lufthansa flights and that yellow crane again stood out. You should have left the crane in the yellow. At least, it is far better looking than the crapshow of a livery that American airlines choose.

Naahh.. I think that`s a bit far fetched - As you remember, the livery back then had the blue cheat line and the silver under belly.... The change in 1988 was more radical than today`s change and the yellow has`nt even disappeared completely as it`s still in the interior and virtual branding. Btw, my first flight with LH was also from Kingston to JFK and the further to Frankfurt on a B 707 - Those were happy days when the eco service was similar to today`s premium eco. :)

Dear Lufthansa, I have a quetsion: around minute 1:20, when Mr. Martin is speaking, it is shown a series of different designs for the livery drawn on A350s. I am therefore wandering if it is possible to take a look at all those different possibilities of creating the new Lufthansa’s livery as they look very interesting. Sorry if there are any grammar or syntactic mistakes but my knowledge of English is not very good. Thank you very much indeed, Giacomo Barra

Lufthansa I think he was referring to all the different designs that were being considered... on that “blueprint” sheet there seemed to be many different designs, and we would love to see them all represented on the A350. Maybe if we see them all we can more clearly understand why Lufthansa believes this new iteration is the most “premium” of them all. Thanks in advance!

I am Lufthansa customer and a Frequent Traveller since I am 15 years old. I love this airline and the people working with such dedication. But I can’t understand why this warm yellow has vanished from the airplanes. Premium blue does not represent everything, the yellow stands for the smile, a wink and the special of Lufthansa. Many Airlines are Premium, but Lufthansa is special. Show it by bringing yellow back on the tailplane fin.

Lufthansa just went from Prestige European looking airline to budget looking airline that couldn't even rival allegiant, seriously bringing back the yellow will help you're guys image alot!

Why suck the life out of crane by eliminating yellow? It took millions of euros and countless hours of agonising discussions to come up with blatant copy of Qantas livery and change the colour and logo. Something is very wrong with those people who have no appreciation for Lufthansa yellow. It is like removing yellow colour from German flag and call it 'modern' and 'timeless'. I certainly hope this will be short-lived update because so many people are commenting negatively about the new livery. I love the dark blue, it really amazing incredible it nice design and you guys need to stop, quit complaining of argument, let move on now it new 2018!! I don't care, I really absolutely love the new color it beautiful period. End of discussion :-)

I don't think they execute the livery well. In fact very few airlines can execute the redesign of their livery or logo very well. I would say, American Airline is one of the airline who can execute it best without losing their corporate identity that has been build. Lufthansa is another history of a plain and nothing extraordinary livery now.

This is not a lufthansa. You just copied united charter/fedex. I am sorry but when i first saw it i thought it was a joke. You tried to create the super perfect premium ultra glamourous blue colour but forgot history, passion, identity with the brand. Yellow is life, is happiness it brings the people nearer to the company. Everyone in the airport knows and respects lufthansa for the big yellow circle from many km far away. Now its just another cargo plane((
