I haven’t seen the movie… but do I need to??
These villains should never have happened, but I’m gonna at least give them a glow-up as they endure the hate and rage raining down on them. Seriously, the ideas behind making more villains for the Megamind universe might have been fine if the results were just NOT A FRICKING CASH GRAB: such little effort, blatant stereotypes, and lazy designing… thirsty cash-grabbing movie producers. The designs sucked beyond what I thought capable, and it was a real pain to even try and dust a little creativity onto these bottomless pits of mistakes.

For the darkness knight guy, my only criticism would be that making his cloth thing bright green draws the eyes there and not his face, so making it dark purple might be a better call, then maybe incorporating a bit of purple trim or crest or design on the armor would be ideal!

Honestly, thanks for this!! I’m not the best at redesigns (this is legit my first attempt lol) and I appreciate any constructive criticism I can get! You’re absolutely right, giving him green trim or a crest (that legit sounds like a GREAT idea bRuh why didn’t I think of that) with green would have been better for drawing the eye to the character’s eyes! I will take this tip with me when I redesign more things lol, thanks again!

The thing that made me so miffed about these guys was how uncreative they were, design wise and _story_ wise. So, if you will, *_BACKSTORIES_* Behemoth: Born under the crust of the earth, being shaped and molded after hundreds of years... He was obviously lonely. He would fiercely protect those close to him, because he remembers a time when he had nobody to protect. I feel it would be a good character detail if he resented Megamind for leaving the their group, and thought he was ungrateful. Mime guy: On first glance, he is a silent, dashing debonair. In reality, a silent film nerd with a smoking addiction is who he is at his core. And very lazy person to boot, who uses his mind controlled slaves to do the heavy lifting for him. Though, to give him credit, he loves his friends, and would do anything for them. Lord Nighty-Knight: He is as mysterious as he is ruthless to his enemies. But he is truly a tender heart. He cares for all the little creatures of the earth, and refuses to harm those he deems "to small and helpless". Maybe this mindset is result of his upbringing? Weather Woman: Constantly bullied as a kid for liking science, she only tries to express herself in the ways she learned how. Gizmos and gadgets! She once was only a sweet young lady, but after a hero she idolized destroyed her city in the heat of battle, she hated the cruel world she lived in, and vows to seek revenge. I hope you like these! Worked every brain cell on them o_o

Now imagine hearing his voice in the new Megamind movie. Megamind 2 had potential to be good but they executed it in the worse way possible, we were robbed ☠️.

It might be fun to do a version of the OLD Doom Syndicate. The Doom Syndicate was a scraped idea from the first movie that made it's way into the Megamind videogames. They originally had a different lineup of characters however. My favorite was probably Psycho-Delic, he was a purple disco skeleton who gassed people, voiced by Keith David.

Kind of makes me more vindicated to say that they should have been the Doom Syndicate in the show, since they were already established and it would have given the gaming fans something.

One idea I had for these guys is that instead of Megamind's old crew, The Doom Syndicate should have been villains that Metro Man had faced some time before the events of the first movie. Unlike Megamind, who was pretty much into the supervillain game just for the fun of it; the Doom Syndicate are a team consisting of only the most elite of villains that were each dangerous individually, but together they were capable of bringing down any superhero they came across. Metro Man himself was nearly one of those victims. While my version of the movie would be vague as to what exactly went down in this battle, what is known is that he fought all four Syndicate members at once in a brutal battle sometime before the first movie where he almost lost his life due to their varying power sets and incredible teamwork. Thankfully, Metro Man was able to push through and defeat them, but just barely. Seeing for himself that these four were far more of a genuine threat to the city and possibly the world compared to Megamind's harmless schemes; Metro Man came up with the idea to seperate them by locking them away in specific prisons specially designed to hold them. It's in these prisons that the Syndicate would remain, never to hurt anyone again. That is until word of Metro Man's "death" starts to spread like wildfire throughout the superhero/supervillain communities and soon reaches the Syndicate's ears. With the hero that humiliated them out of the picture, the Syndicate's villainous ambitions are finally reignited with them breaking out of prison to continue their reign of terror. Will Megamind be able to defeat the group that nearly took down his former arch foe and prove himself worthy as Metro City's new protector? Or has our loveable, big headed blue alien finally met his match?

@@fantasycreed plus all of them are much better. Although I'm not the biggest fan of hot flash's design, it is a very good design to tell you about her character. The only members of the Doom syndicate that I don't particularly like period, are the conductor just because I think he's kind of lame, but a revamp could have made him better. And I hate Blue Tighten. He's just stupid. The only new Doom syndicate character I'm okay with is lady Doppler, and that's only because she was a scrapped character from the games.

The movies villian designs are.. TERRIBLE.. Like, the yellow color scheme for the weather lady is so hideous. Yellow is such a hard collor to make an entire outfit from, you cant use light colors like blue as contrast cause it looks off! it doesnt fo together. The most hilarious part is... if anything they already had the excuses for not using the gun staring them in the face! I mean sure Pierre would probably be weak to it. But! >lava guy. HE'S MADE OF ROCK. There's probably some steam somewhere in him, but the exterior is LAVA. Which notoriously has no water left because it expelled it all when transitioning from magma. He's probably immune! >nighty knight. He's made of some sort of dark substance. We never get any confirmation what it is but since most kinds of smoke (all but the vapors really) are waterless there's 0 reason he could be dehydrated >weather girl: sure if caught unawares she might get cubed. But she can both shortcircuit megamind's gadgets and make it rain so dehydration doesn't work. So in a team of 4, 2 are straight up immune and a 3rd is a hard counter. THEY JUST NEEDED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE OBVIOUS.

Wow you did a great job redesigning these characters. I wanna go see a proper movie about them. I want to learn about their motives, personalities and reasons for working together. Here's my headcanons for their new personalities/backstories (keep in mind I also haven't watched that movie and Im only going off their designs.) Lava dude: very similar to tf2 heavy. He's big, violent, and scary on the outside, but internally he's incredibly intelligent. He's been a part of mother earth for millions of years, so his knowledge on how living things function is vast and grand. Mime: very detailed oriented, to an almost obsessive degree. He struggled to express emotions when he was young, so he started copying others. He got so good at it he quickly mastered the art of manipulation. But he wanted more, more power, more control. So he studied an accent form of hypnotizing magic/powers/whatever works for this universe, and has been on a reign of terror ever since. The (k)night: Another worldly being sent here to study humanity. Their homeworld is planning an invasion and they were tasked with finding counter measures to all of humanity's defenses. They ultimately don't care about the other members of the doom syndicate, and are only using them to get into high security places. Weather girl: Egotistical & insane. She doesn't care for money, power or fame. She's only here to show how much damage she can do. She delights in watching others suffer. They only way someone will be spared from her wrath is if they agree to work for her in developing something truly awful. Something even the other doom syndicates don't know about.

One thing that might make a lava guy unique would be if they some sort of ‘cloak’ or cape of magma, that would bubble or have a flowing texture to it, like a lava flow would. maybe it would bubble, or expand in different places over time, or drag behind them and scorch the earth? Idunno, it might be a bit difficult and clunky to animate. That said, cool designs!

Your ideas for these guys are so creative, like Behemoth's head being shaped like a skull and making roars out of steam, Pierre Pressure being a silent mime with more skinnier look yet mysterious vibe, Lord Knighty-Knight looking almost haunting with the eerie spirit aura he has, and sprinkling creative weather-like touches to Lady Dopper! Not only do you have creative ideas, but you're a very talented artist! I would love to see you do more redesigns of villains, like some Spider-Man villains, some Batman villains, or hell, even some Disney Villains!

I did kinda like the little stars and moons on Night Knight to make him feel like a bedtime story so I feel like that was missed and also I feel like the mime looks too "attractive" in the sense he should be a little more cartoony with his head and facial hair like a 30-40 year old mime but other than that great work!

I feel like the Dark Knight's gray parts should be a bit brighter to don't make the contrast mix that much (same with green clothing which should be a bit darker than lightning to don't look like it glows lol). Still the designs are really impressive, you have done fantastic job in re-imagining them!

(About the original designs:) Behemoth and Night-Knight were my top two designs. Behemoth because he has swirls everywhere in his lava design, which I thought was very fun. His design gave me skylander vibes (also Fun fact: he was a scrapped design from the first Megamind... for a reason clearly.) And Night because he looks the most evil while being very cute and sorta dumb/naive/innocent. The other two felt way more uninspired. Like really... the dude is just a mime. And Lady Doppler just *looks* unappealing because of all that yellow! And kinda tacky clothing in the original tbh. 04:14 oooo, I like how slender you made him! I like the simplicity, though it doesn't read 'super villian' for me quite yet. Maybe some accesory could've strenghtend it? 06:09 Very cool design! Dunno if the Execs would've gone for it, I would love to redraw Knight Night as well.

Vitiligo is an autoimmune reaction in the body. I agree in that it’s not healthy to have it, and that it can be cured! However, if someone has it and has not figured out how to cure themselves, I still think it’s beautiful to look at. I was thinking about that as well, should I give her an autoimmune disease? Should I call it good? I called it pretty, not healthy, and it actually could tie in to her backstory! 70% of all autoimmune disorders have a connection with a person’s childhood, apparently. If someone has had a rough childhood, they often develop horrible autoimmune disorders (like myself and my siblings. I could have given her piebaldism, but I hadn’t learned of that genetic mutation during this design. Plus , I wanted clouds and rain to reflect on her body. Again, I agree that Vitiligo is not a healthy sign, it’s a sign that the body is struggling. However, I very much think it is beautiful and unique, I would never lie about such a thing.
