These new videos are awesome! Just came at the perfect time, as I've kind of got the basics down and looking to stretch creatively with these tools.

Glad to hear it! If you're interested in layer maps, you'll probably be glad to know that the new version of Form lets you have different layer maps for different systems. You can get crazy complex now!

@@MaxonRedgiant thanks! but how do i apply the same vortex ring effect to an image i have instead of a 3D form?
@MaxonRedgiant3 жыл бұрын
@@apollogt5506 We're not quite sure what you're asking. KZbin comments aren't a great place for this sort of creative troubleshooting. Perhaps a forum like CreativeCOW.net or maybe /r/AfterEffects or /r/redgiant on Reddit would be more helpful (you can post videos or screenshots those places).

Looks cool. How do you make the Form particles move (not just displace)? For instance, can you get the particles dots to rotate around a 3D object (eg. heart), without rotating the object?

Thanks for a great tutorial. I am wondering whether the image source for displacement, colour, etc. must be vector or can pixel images of PDS files also be used?

The way you made that rotating planet, is it the same way that Black Ops 2's graphic designers made the rotating planet in the background of the game's menu ?

Been learnign a lot with your series of tuts but this one was a disappointment as you don't show in 8:48 how to apply the form to the Mercury effect. It doesn't work in the way you showed right before. Can you please explain how to get that same look with the swirls and shinny lines following the movement of the Mercury gue? thanks
