Holy shit your analysis gave me chills head to toe. That was well worded and a amazing guess

The album this is from “13th Step” is about addiction and recovery. Part of that healing process is forgiving and amends. This is a play on that.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert on the band, but that's my favorite APC song. Put the words up there for me, and I'll try to sing along.

My favorite APC song. I love the quiet moments leading up to Maynard's crescendo!

Enjoyed that, especially the end part. It bugged me though cos it reminded me of someone and I can't think who. 😂

You are spot on with your interpretation of the song. Been listening to APC and Tool for 20 years now, before and after addiction to IV coke/opioids (fent heroin hydromorphone, etc) and benzos, and well, everything lol except alcohol, oddly enough.. Anyways when I celebrated my 1 year clean at AA, I stood up front and my sponsor gave me my medallion and a hug and I got to speak, but this song and the whole album and all of Maynard's work have shaped me so much that after I thanked everyone and AA and my parents etc for their support, I was quick about it all and at the end I asked everyone for a moment of silence for all the passed away friends and family who we lost along the way during our addiction. You added an extra layer to it all for me though, talking about how we kill off parts of ourselves, our own being, in addiction and other trying times and its awoken something in me, in this moment, that I never really did make amends to myself, but also the fact that I never really fully can do so either, because I killed parts of myself... And there's just some things that we can't ever truly make amends for. Lovely reaction to such a beautiful song!

Nice Reaction! You should check out A Perfect Circle “Orestes”, Stone and Echos live at Red Rocks. It’s an amazing performance!

I agree with your assessment 💯. It’s a dirty but real song. 13th step. The whole album is about addiction and recovery.

You'd probably like By and Down the River, one of my favorites that is seldom heard.

Regarding their style, you've got the right idea. They definitely have some in your face songs with heavy vocals and raunchy guitar riffs, but for the most part their sound is very haunting and ethereal. Hoping you'll react to more of them.

I see that you have discovered Maynard James Keenan, one of the greatest singers/lyricists of our time. His three bands, Puscifer , A Perfect Circle, and Tool, are all great. He has also worked with many other artists. If you like Rush, you should like Tool. I have a suggestion for a Tool reaction, it's Descending from the Fear Innoculum album. But, I must warn you, the Tool army will descend upon your reactions. Tool is a sub magnet. I really enjoyed your reactions and can't wait to see your Tool reactions. They don't have a bad song. Thanks again ✌️❤️🖖

I should be more into this band but I only really know "Judith" and the two you have reacted to. I like Judith the most so far, because it's groovy.

Hey it's wintersun Alex red my mothers health has gotten worse due to breast cancer and I was wondering when will you do her suggestion for her favorite symphonic metal band from Finland Wintersun for Wintersun sons of winter and stars 1.5 official lyric video from Wintersun jari KZbin channel they use viking folklore in their music also sent it to you 3 months ago I am concerned about her health so if you could do this reaction as soon as possible to make her feel better watching you react to it I would appreciate it very much. Thank you Wintersun Alex ❄️🙏🫶

First my Apologies to A Perfect Circle ⭕ Anytime I see or hear their name I mistake them for the band Lifehouse for which I'm not a fan. This is some pretty cool stuff Man!! My hardcore core says it needs some Chris Squire or Geddy Lee or Steve Harris type Bass tapping us on the shoulders but I likes it!! Thanks Neighbor and Reck O Mender!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼

@mraso30Ай бұрын
The layering of the vocals at the end is incredibly well done. It is not a common thing for this lyricist to do that, if I recall correctly there's only 1 or 2 other songs where Maynard's singing is layered like this. A rare treat!
