Now I know nobody gives a fuck, but I need to point this out: there's no bog in the movie Bog. A bog is a nutrient-poor, acidic stretch of wetlands with no fish living in it and no trees growing on it. The entire movie takes place on a lake, at best surrounded by swampland and not a bog. Not really useful information, but it does make you wonder why they chose the name anyway. It's not like "Bog" is an exiting name, it sounds exactly like what it is.

I feel like Stone Cold’s ending is almost like a faithful adaptation to the book that inspired Die Hard. In the novel, John does not save his family, he doesn’t come out to a cheery crowd and endearing characters, quite the opposite. He’s left irreversibly bitter by his experiences/failures, and ends up mercilessly gunning down the last terrorist before finally leaving the building. Upon his exit, he’s mortally wounded and left to wallow in his own sorrow. Stone Cold is ‘most likely’ a dumb dick flick. But I wanna believe it’s a clever parody of late 80s/early 90s action movies, where the protagonist isn’t a flawless sharpshooter commando, but rather a careless hunk who ends up killing more than he saves, and in the end, has to deal with the mess he ultimately escalated
@garrettdavis82722 жыл бұрын
Also! Two things: 1) The ending part where a running side character ends up saving the protagonist is beat for beat Die Hard, book and movie 2) They say Stone Cold is a “sequel to a movie that doesn’t exist”, well the book that led to Die Hard was in fact the sequel to a novel/movie called “The Detective”

its amazing how guests can immediately adopt the appropriate dead pan energy once they enter the RLM studio

It’s not when they enter the studio. It’s the preceding drive through Milwaukee

I agree. It is nice to see industry heavy-weights like Rich Evans helping the up and comers get some publicity early in their careers. I heard they played a huge role in Macaulay Culkin making it big too. Seriously, Hollywood should pivot closer to the Midwest so that good influences like the RLM folks can help keep these younger actors on the straight and narrow.
