Great video! It would be awesome if you could monitor the CPU temperature too. There's an app called CPU Monitor that lets you put a small transparent overlay on the screen that shows CPU & Battery Temperature (and memory usage). I'd love to see that in your videos, with any app that provides the CPU Temperature, that's just the one I use. Keep up the good work!

Im waiting here for you to test different coolers with different phone. Rog seems to be the best choice but temperatures aren't looking good. Hoping that with black shark cooler or red magic cooler it will be different. Thanks for this video Im currently using note 9. Exynos version. I have been only sad with this phone. For the first 3 months it was great after that temperature starting to go beyond 50c easily. Its just a disaster. So I'm looking all over the internet now to find the best gaming phone. I have a camera im fine with camera not being great (its sad that no phone is perfect). Anyway thank you for this video I hope your channel grow faster and you reach success with it sooner

man its so difficult to find a good test right now... the special thing about these phones are the shoulder buttons that can enable you to play games like PC games on stadia or something and nobody uses them in their tests for some reason i don't understand why. If you use the USB charger while gaming you can select USB power only so the battery will not be in use. This should lower temperatures.

The only nasty thing Rog 5 did is that they changed to pins on the side port, so no more compatiblity with most accessories from 2 and 3 series, which I had own and paid a lot for the twindock 2/3 view and Mobile Desktop Dock, not to mention and the cooler (tho doesn't not matter much) So that's the only reason It holds me from upgrading like every year to next rog phone.

ROG 5 still edges out the Black shark 4 pro in day to day use, though since I've had the ROG 2 and ROG 3, not much has changed on the ROG 5 to be honest, if you want something new to try, the Black shark 4 pro or the redmagic 6 pro are both perfectly good alternatives

Rog is always been great but the biggest problem is the heating you just don't want to play on a rog phone without aerocooler meanwhile for me bs4 is pretty balance while RM6pro is the better cooling because of the internal fan. And their ice dock is legit tho. Btw I'm using RM6pro rn.

Funny thing is RM6 temperature was most consistent with the cooler but still ROG 5 was better on the fps measure although they could have better cooler installed with actual cooling system like BS4 or RM6 for this price. I mean about 70 € just for "fan" plus 2 trigger it's to overrated if you ask me . 😊

the 25fps dip happened during casting of an AOE while the grass was already burning, only happened for like a few secs but clearly saw it, and I actually prefer the CN or tencent version because of the 120W charging, kinda confused why they want to limit the best feature to China only 😁
