The Redman Cribs episode was so awesome because it not only was obviously authentic, but it also matched the raw style we are used to getting when listening to a Redman album. Redman was also clever and witty in his presentation of the whole thing, the Foreman Grill, the shoe box with spare cash, stuff piled up in a corner, all of it. I think it was also a breath of fresh air for people to see a celebrity living just like they do.

Yo red man low key taught me about being real when I was younger. I always remembered that episode and wasn't sure if it was a joke but after watching this interview it all makes sense. But even back then it made me feel like flexing wasn't the goal. Be real and people will respect you and those that are respected by others are successful.
@cakeeater23682 жыл бұрын
lol this is retarded. I respect a lot of people that haven't done shit and at the end of the day, ain't shit in this life. I love Xzibit, he is one of my favorite rappers of all time, but that Cribs episode was just embarrassing.

Funny that this is the smartest thing he could have done. Lemme Kilmister did it as well when they interviewed him. He used to live in a very small apartment in Hollywood California, next to the sunset if I'm not mistaken. They asked him why he didn't get a house? He replied, "I'll never find a deal as good as this one." He paid like 2000 a month for two apartments. I don't think he was super rich, but he had plenty of money. He would rather live comfortably and not worry about money running out. A lot of people don't realize that for you to live in those big mansions requires millions to keep it running. Cleaning ladies, upkeep, insurance, water, and light bills. It needs a constant flow of money, that's why you see a lot of athletes or famous people go broke after they retire.
