I leave mine set on chromatic scale and then run all tracks through Shakmat Bard Quartet. Great combo and makes up for the lack of in-scale transposing in the GR. Was a joy to see you jamming on this and it gave me a few ideas. Happy new year!

Btw, I'd love to see you jam on the Doboz T12 you have in the front row. I keep seeing it unused in your vids and I want to see you make it shine!

I've been contemplating that same config. I'm curious - what happens when you change scale / root settings on the GR - in my head it seams like you'd get some subtle shifts in melody, still conforming to the scale in the BQ?
@peedee53243 күн бұрын
@@boydw1 What it does is potentially drop notes when you change from chromatic scale on the GR. Since chromatic is all the notes in an octave, changing to a different scale on GR will result in the BQ having less to chew on and thereby achieving what you referenced as subtle shift (depending on what your BQ setting are... it could possibly have no effect at all).

Been thinking about getting this for bass lines, thanks for the video!
@lovedeathdiscoКүн бұрын
i got it for bassline sequencing, after trying the opp ned for this purpose. both are gems. although for my personal way of going about things i opt for the opp ned in a toss up, cause i find it a bit frustrating to have no save state option. especially if it's getting into the morning, i'm still up jamming, come across a sweet spot and need to sleep, but want to track it tomorrow. easy to scan past something cool. but for how i'm working i mostly just want a tritone, and octave and the root and a some physical control over variations, so opp ned is just magnificent for me. but this one is fun if i had extra space. like extreme fun. i say get one and try the other if it don't work out.

Nice demo, Jeremy. A melodic generator is something we can all find some use for. The F8R is so cool but makes me sad Malekko doesn’t make Voltage Block any more, its ability to turn stuff up and down whilst holding 16 presets and various sequencing tricks would make it super useful for this patch.

Is that a Hermod+ expander in the lower left of the case?… next to the Hermod+… I’ve been waiting for this! 😊 great video as always.

I've been weighing this vs Clank Chaos to replace Marbles in one of my cases. I know you've been a Chaos user for a while, I'd be curious to hear your opinion about the comparison as someone who seems to enjoy both.

Just a reminder a voltage block can be used just like the fader bank he’s using. Just set the length to 1 step for the desired channels on the VB.

I was thinking about making a smol little generative machine with this thing. Ofc lends itself really well for performance as well, love what Noise Engineering have been doing latetly! Also would love to have a Video from you on the Ritual Electronics Amnis and SSF Impulse Dynamics, if that is in any way possible. Cheers!

Great video Jeremy. Gamut Repetitor is the best and I've found that pairing with all kinds of trigger sequencers really makes it shine. But what really makes me happy is that you can use all 4 outs to quickly build a song.. and saving time there allows you extra time for modulation and effects exploration once you get it going!
@earlsfield3 күн бұрын
Hey Jeremy, is this custom made case? Also for the smaller systems, Tripplat/Quadrrat, or 3 MIA could work, for sending voltage into mod spots on Gamut.
