the seasonal content stuff raised in point 8 has been clarified, in the games' Official Discord - Monetisation will be handled just like Redout 1 - so only DLC courses, no MTX, all performance enhancing parts earnable ingame in the career mode and cosmetics being earnable this method and through the seasonal events with NO BATTLEPASS NONSENSE. so people who are looking forward to the game can hype responsibly :)

just started playing. it's very fun, but the controls definitely take some time to get used to. I've played a lot of racing games over the decades (yikes), but few antigrav ones. this is a tough one for sure. took many tries to get past the tutorial and had to look up a YT video for help. there are assists, but you need to finish the tutorial before using them, which isn't ideal lol also, the game is absolutely gorgeous.

Also the 'most platforms' mention in the Multiplayer point - all platforms except the Switch will support 12 player mulitplayer - the Switch will unfortuantly be limited to a maximum of 6 players

the first game did have a cockpit which has everything you mentioned except the method of steering, so hopefully RO2 has a cockpit view too :) It was the view i liked to use the most personally.

I usually only drive in cockpit view in things like Forza but trust me this needs to be played in 3rd person or you won't be able to see the track in front of you as well

Dont worry, Redout 2 will have a 'advanced calibration system' - basically small assists you can toggle the effective-ness of :) The game will also have a proper tutorial unlike the first game too!

One important thing to know: the devs recently updated the Redout 1 to UE5 and for many players the game isn't working anymore. It doesn't start and throws a fatal error. No working solution is known. The never fixed it and are now releasing Redout 2. So this is saying something about this dev's mentality.

Just here to clear a few things up on the pieces of misunderstood information. 1. The engine running the current version of Redout 1 is NOT on UE5 but on UE4.27 from UE4. 2. While there were a multitude of bugs that appeared on the new update. A lot of the bugs has been cleared and players should have an easier time running the game. If you still have issues, the Redout Discord is the place where your issues will most likely be heard. P.S. I made a comment on this space once and it got removed. So this is the second time I'm typing this.

Wrong. They updated the engine so now for a lot more players its working. Before it wasn't working for a lot more people than it is now. There are only about half a dozen known people who cannot start the game versus several page threads of people who couldn't start it in the old version. Which also has LONG SINCE stopped being supported. So yes. It says a lot that a dev will bother to go back and fix an end of life game thats so old modern OS couldn't play it. Buy this game they support games for 6+ years even after the real updates stopped 4 years ago.
