It really wasn’t bad. I followed it as you said, stuck my finger in the threaded hole of the filter to snake it out. Everyone who complains is just whinning 😂

Top tip with undertray holes like that: Vaccum as much oil as you can out of the dipstick! -or- Get a pipe that fits inside the hole but over the plug. Loosen the plug to just a few turns off. Use one hand to push the pipe up against the bottom of the sump. Use your other hand on a socket with an extension and slide that inside the pipe. Withdraw the socket from the pipe, keeping the pipe pushed up all the time and oil will go down the pipe.

Just got done and what an ABSOLUTE PAIN IN THE PSOTERIOR!!! The angle of the filter and the radius on end of the fitler makes fitting a 3 finger grip tool impossible, in the end I used my old - 30 year old - chain tool, I had to use the new filter as a sample and weld the the chains in size place as there is no room for jiggling to get purchase, you need to locate and turn without any play, maybe your tool works easier, but I couldn't find one like yours in England. Eventually my old trusty tool worked. I thought I had all my tool tools set, but as usual it all depends on getting the suitable tool for the job. I'v saved the old filter and bought 3 more tools and make one of them in advance to work more efficiently. Sorry about the rant....Good informative and helpful video!!

Unfortunately, without removing the lower pans, the old oil from the filter removal will create a mess as it slowly, over the course of days, runs inside the pans drips from all the seams onto the ground. Even when you think you caught all the oil from the filter spillage, it still somehow leaks out. I typically use a can of degreaser and a hose tp clean everything straight down over the filter area after the oil change so none of that gets caked up inside. I keep telling myself that removing the pans is the best bet, but I never do.

Hey, how do you know if you have the correct dipstick or dikstick? Seriously, ow do you identify if you have the correct one. my model is 2009 facelift year, so may not be affected.

What size engine is your V 12. Is it the same engine as a 2015 V 12 Vantage S?

All of Aston's V12 engines from that generation were the same size. There were some differences beyond displacement, which affected power output, but they're all 5.9L (marketed as 6.0L).

Obviously but it's nice to have a good video for people who buy these used & don't want to pay a dealer $1,600 for said oil change when you can do it yourself for under $200

All Auto/Car - Engineers, Designer, Technic's - have to have *Repair and *Maintain - #Own Products.. especially MfR's.. Aston Martin and Bentley-Continental..= a 'Torture.. also incl. Labour- Cost's.. - I think on easy Repair+Maintain.. my 1966.. 'Mustang, Decades ago.... Thank's for Attention, from Germany.
