Very very interesting. Personally I can tell the slight difference between crsf and frsky so this sounds like it will definitely be a difference.

Why you gotta go blow our secret?! J/k redpine is awesome. You lose 3 position switching, but that's the price you gotta pay for FAST. Also, one may want to consider retuning feed-forward, because it's common to need less due to the faster response.

Ah, good tip on feed forward... more secrets are out!

Is ELRS an SPI receiver? Just wondering if I can flash RedPine instead of ELRS.
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
Redpin only works with Frsky SPI receivers, not ELRS. FYI, ELRS is just as fast and better overall. Redpine would be a downgrade.

That's pretty interesting, Albert! 😃 Did you noticed any range difference? Stay safe there! 🖖😊

Not for racing inside my house. If your whoop race track is a mile away, I suspect this is not gonna be for you. LOL..

FYI a packet rate this high currently useless on the Tango2. External modules are only receiving packet updates at 50Hz. github.com/tbs-fpv/freedomtx/issues/12

Any idea which deviation firmware supports redpine or who to contact to find out? My jumper doesn't have redpine as an option.

Check the links for the RCgroups and github in the description for more information. Also www.deviationtx.com/

Hmm, I have a 2 mobula boards and a tango 2 with the mpm module and i can’t get it to show in betaflight Receiver page . I’ve changed to redpine on in betaflight created a new model on my tango 2 set to redpine fast and use the cli commad to bind_rx but no rx movement on the betaflight rx page
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
You need to upgrade the MPM to the latest firmware version.

Will this work on BetaFPV 65pro?
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
It will on the Frsky version, not the ELRS version.

So you got the xjt module to work on the tango 2?? I thought that it doesn't work due to an extra pin or something. I canceled my order of an xjt cause everyone said it didn't work.....
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried it. I'm using a multirprotocol module and it works fantastic.
@Jahoosapheth4 жыл бұрын
@@AlbertKimTV my bad I had to watch it again and noticed u have irangex not xjt. Xjt module is confirmed not to work. I guess the irangex does tho. Thanks for sharing btw the rest of the video was interesting I just got distracted by the module haha 😄

i have jp4in1 module, what protocol is best for less latency?
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
Redpine
@zfpv72114 жыл бұрын
Definitely not 1-5ms from stick to motors. The filters alone typically induce more latency than that. But 1-5ms from stick to BF read is still insane. I find it kinda hard to believe lol
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
This is what the developer said on the rcgroups thread. "1-5ms from transmitter gimbal to betaflight dshot motor output".
@zfpv72114 жыл бұрын
Albert Kim Thats what makes me suspicious. There’s no way to estimate how much delay each individual filter setup will add. Not to mention, at 1-5ms, that would make the radio link basically instant.. which is physically impossible.
@hulpe4 жыл бұрын
@@zfpv7211 possible with higher refresh rate /shorter signal width though ^^ miliseconds is quite much for signal paths in general
@lrfpv52924 жыл бұрын
I notice 1.5ms is 666Hz (as stated on github)...I would stay faaar away from this......... ... ... LOL

I think Bayang protocol is highly underestimated, sadly you did not mention it
@AlbertKimTV4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure how this is related since people will need a totally different FC and receiver to use that protocol. Also, most manufacturers of BNF whoops don't support that protocol at all nor make any BNF products other than some low-end brushed whoops from 2016.
