You’re analysis about SS especially at this young age is of course spot on. If you don’t understand that, what can I say. Corbin is right.

Interesting video as always! Signing these kids matters for long term planning. Thanks Corbin!
@tsid16018 сағат бұрын
The Red Sox should have an organizational expectation that they develop two to three players each year that they are able to promote to their big league club ... Signing talented international teenage players is a significant annual event on the Red Sox calendar in helping reach that lofty goal ...

Great post Corbin ✊🏻. Just love how you explain everything. You have a great baseball mind. I watch daily and always get into what ur saying. Thank you. ✊🏻

It used to upset me when I kept hearing them getting shortstops then I realized that they can basically play anywhere
@bobmessier521516 сағат бұрын
Thanks, Corbin, for the details. Cordero was the only player that you had mentioned that I didn't know. Our last couple of drafts, including the international ones, have all been excellent and this was no different. I've been following the Dominican Summer League since a 3B named Raffy Devers was drafted. Last year's Intl. Draft resulted in a DSL championship and some exciting prospects.

A good draft is welcomed. Nice coverage. I'll check it out on Sox Prospects.
@jackgruber214718 сағат бұрын
There's a reason shortstops are always a top of the draft position. Mookie was also a 2B and went on to be the best RF in the game for a long time. Can't wait to see how these turn out

Really like the pitcher Delzine, because his size and numbers of pitches he can throws!

CF - Duran RF - Abryue LF - Anthony 1st - Tristan 2nd - Story 3rd- Devers SS - Rafaela C - Wong DH - mix it up

I was hoping now that the Sox have prospect depth, they’d really focus on quality of prospect in this signing period. It seems like, that was the case.
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
Yeah got some real high caliber players in this one for sure
@RickR5J718 сағат бұрын
Watching the clips of pitcher Sadbiel Delzine, he reminds me of a very young Dwight Gooden.

I like the group! It's a guessing game at age 16 or so. Redsox look like they are doing their best to snag some talent. I like it. Go Redsox!
@mikebtt120 сағат бұрын
Great job Corbin, very informative. Any idea what happens next in their development? Do the sox bring them to America and into training facilities? School? or do they remain in their own countries in whatever leagues and keep tabs on them? How does their next step in their development work?
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
Yeah so usually the next step is a year in the Dominican summer league living at the Red Sox complex down there. If they perform well then they come over to the states and that is when they play in the complex league down near jet blue and from there kind of a normal progression process as every else

@CORE1.8MINISTERIES19 сағат бұрын
That's great. And I'm glad however. These guys that are flamethrowers, don't just bring them into the miners, you bring them right up to Major League Baseball let them be tested first in the spring training. Better yet regular season just to let them know what they are expected to do😊
@Hornet92917 сағат бұрын
Remember fellas these international signings are MLB assets and with that being said, these kids can be traded in the future for MLB stars
@mikaylarivera133720 сағат бұрын
damn how many did we sign like 20 guys? thats crazy and they all seem really talented too. hopefully a lot of them rise the prospect rankings. we lowkey gotta start grabbing some catchers tho
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
Yeah 26, last year was so much more too so we will see
@stironeceno19 сағат бұрын

@BigSwede5820 сағат бұрын
I’m a life long Red Sox fan ! But to tell You the truth,I really don’t care about the International signings.It’s great for the player,if they sign and they go to the “Baseball Academy”,from what I understand about it,they live there.That definitely is a plus,because they get 3 meals a day and they get to improve if they can.
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
I understand that it’s a very long process until we see any of these players impact Boston.

They kids are so young they have no idea how they will grow up into. They could be studs or busts. They are at least 5 years away. A couple of them will be good. It is my hope that continue the pipeline to the major leagues.
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
Yeah kind of
@mykelengieza705714 сағат бұрын
This means no big signings. Chaim is still running the checkbook from the shadows. He wasn't really fired.
@redseatradio14 сағат бұрын
What? No dude every team gets money to pay these prospects lol literally everyone spent money on prospects today. This has ZERO impact on the big league budget
@mykelengieza705713 сағат бұрын
@redseatradio distraction....but I am stoked about the prospects. That is a good thing, I know.
@redseatradio13 сағат бұрын
@mykelengieza7057 this literally can’t be a “distraction” it’s something every single team does. How could this possibly be Red Sox PR if all 30 teams signed players as well and it happens on the same exact day every year?
@mykelengieza705711 сағат бұрын
@redseatradio I guess I'm trying to keep my expectations low... don't want to jinx it. I love a teenager who has a workable MLB change-up almost as much as I love Tristan...
@Tonyyyyyyyshhh5 сағат бұрын
oh the red sox are just signing more short stops
@Nunziod.Parente6 сағат бұрын
Yeah yeah the Sox have enough money to sign Bregman and 3 relievers and still be under the cbt. But let's play chicken.
@brentbell723520 сағат бұрын
Love these picks for the Sox. I do wish the Sox played more heavily in Venezuela. If the Dominican is the cradle of shortstops, Venezuela dominates the catcher position, which is a bit of a weakness in the Sox farm system.
@BosoxPatsfan60320 сағат бұрын
You're wrong about that because Puerto Ricans dominate The catching position Yadier Molina Bengie Molina Sandy Alomar I can go on and on. Those are some of the best catchers of all time
@brentbell723519 сағат бұрын
@ fair point. Sox should lean more there too. I do not see a lot in the catching pipeline post Teel. I am hoping Johanafran Garcia fully recovers from his knee injury.
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
I think Puerto Rico goes in the draft not the international free agency
@stironeceno19 сағат бұрын
12 of the players they sighed are from Venezuela ...what more do you want ?
@brentbell723519 сағат бұрын
@ are any of them standout catching prospects? All I am asking.
@etrin571419 сағат бұрын
How about they sign players who will contribute this season? Sign 2025 MLB difference makers. Forget about contending this year, and just continue to trust these CHEAP Owners!!!!
@distractionsinthewind997619 сағат бұрын
I agree but this video is NOT about that. Did you watch it?
@etrin571419 сағат бұрын
These are All Distractions from the 2025 MLB team. Don't let the FSG PR team distract you from these Inept Owners.
@jmira643619 сағат бұрын
The Sox are cheap, but this doesn’t prevent them from signing anyone. This is essentially just how every team acquires young international prospects that aren’t draft eligible because they live outside the US. Every January teams are allowed to spend up to like 5mil on these guys. Every team does this, it’s essential to developing a team long term. It’s how we got Devers.
@traci63519 сағат бұрын
So DON'T sign international players and let the 29 other teams sign them??? Dude where do you think Devers and Bello came from?? News Flash! No one is signing FA players right now and there is NEVER a guarantee that signing someone to a monster contract buys championships....relax and enjoy what the Red Sox have done so far this season! Bregman is still out there and so is a possible trade for Arenado....Baseball is a business and owners are waiting out the market to get these guys to drop their demands and sign for less.....if this is still TOO STRESSFUL for you.....go over to the Dodgers .....
@etrin571419 сағат бұрын
@traci635 My focus is the 2025 MLB season. And if you cared about this team, you should also be outraged with an Ownership that has lied and stolen from Fans. And just continues to pull the Okey-Doke.
@sandyfernandez323720 сағат бұрын
Cheap organization like always
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
Brother what?
@sandyfernandez323719 сағат бұрын
@redseatradio o'neal left and didn't get replaced, 70 percent of Soto offer was put back into the ownership pockets again. I won't even bother to buy tickets this season.
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
@sandyfernandez3237 what does that have to do with signing international prospects?
@redseatradio19 сағат бұрын
@sandyfernandez3237 also if Casas and story stay healthy plus Anthony and Campbell come up we won’t miss O’Neill
@sandyfernandez323719 сағат бұрын
@redseatradio that's 3 big what if ,I think you have a point but they should bring Santander or Bregman anyways. Time to make moves and spend is now bc once the season begins 95 percent of the time teams remain the same roster wise
@CHman71214 сағат бұрын
Exactly. Quit focusing on Chinese players who only want to go to LA and get these kind of guys for the future.
