What a fantastic technique. Thanks for teaching it to me! I have C4D S24 so its cool I can also now do that with fields. Both are great to know. You are really teaching this Newbie a lot from your videos.

THX A LOT ! COULD WE DO THE SAME THINGS WITH FIELDS INSIDE THE VERTEX TAGS IN R20 TO AVOID USING MORPH TAG ?
@ProfessionallyIncorrect4 жыл бұрын
Yup! I should really make an updated video to this showing it with fields.

Great. one big question, there is a way to use a Poligon selection inside the shader graph? i want assign to different texture or shader inside one big node three different polygon selection, an not a vertex map ... there is a way??? thx anyway

Can you explain what your end goal is a bit more? There isn’t a way to use selection tags in the graph editor.

@@ProfessionallyIncorrect I would like to assign the different selection tags to a different texure based on the polygon selection using a shader switch or a multishader ... the only problem I can't find the way to use it through the polygon selection :( but keeping all in one material. I don't know if I've made myself clear thx man

How can I use Polygon Selection Tags for the same technique? It isn't in the documentation from what I can tell.

In what way?

I want to put two different materials on a sphere. I have a polygon selection tag created. I am trying to use the Material Blender Node and use Blend Color 1 input for the second material but so far I cannot find a node which will produce this result. I can do it using Polygon Selection Tag on the material tag of C4D but I was hoping to do it all within RS nodes. It works great with a Vertex Map and Vertex Attribute Node but I'm trying the technique using polygon selection without success. Thanks for any help!

@@donross7820 I think that's a limitation of RS, unfortunately.
