The videos I'm working on are taking much longer than anticipated so I wanted to give you something to watch while you wait. This video is a little bit different than what I usually put out and it's a long one but it's also a great interrogation and it shows what can happen when a detective takes their job seriously. Share your thoughts below.

Good catch! Usually you would hear "he was in jail for assaulting me before this." Or something like that. Cause when someone has to serve time, it's usually THEIR OWN actions that got them sentenced. Victims usually give praise to the detectives or lawyers. Also, she claimed that she hated his drinking BUT drinks WITH him later?! Or she doesn't know "what hole he put it in"?! This sentient toilet seat cover needs to be flushed.
@drwombat

Yes this is a good catch and the phrase "I sent him to jail" usually connotates intent as tho she wanted him in jail regardless of whether he was guilty or not... "Send him to jail girl, you know what to do" ... Versus "he got sent to jail for hitting me"

As a victim myself, this moment (and several more like it come afterward) stuck out to me: The rambling after the initial “story”, mostly about how she’s so lonely, a single mom, trying to be happy with her life, and he’s out partying… very telling. It wasn’t focused on the aftermath of what happened, it was very focused on how much she deserves even more sympathy. When I had been assaulted, my brain wasn’t focused on “poor me and my sympathy-deserving life”. It was shock. I knew I was a victim of the assault. Even in the most abstract thoughts, of “what led us here”, not a sliver of my being focused on anything as light, general, and abstract as my poor, lonely “lot in life”.

And we also have that protective thing going on, not all of course, but many. We forget plenty of women are tough enough to take care of themselves. Unless the hubby is a really big guy. Or he can divorce her, lose half his assets and be stuck paying her alimony and child support. If he loses his job (or takes a paycut) and can not keep up with payments, he's thrown in jail as a "deadbeat dad".. Guys, don't get married. It's not worth the risk. @@Mandy-nt2cs It's not just that, either. I know a man who was falsely accused, and most of his friends wouldn't look at him the same until someone else shared a voice recording of her bragging about the lies. Immediately everyone who believed her apologised, most of us knew not to take it too seriously in the first place as the guy wouldn't harm a fly. But the damage it can do to their mental health, if even one person believes it. Even if nobody does, it can make you second guess anything in the future in case it happens again, even second guessing yourself, what if you really did do something bad and didn't realise it? I absolutely believe that if a false accusation is proven false, it should be prosecuted. The trouble there is what constitutes a false accusation, as many people making genuine accusations grow cold feet or are intimidated or bullied into withdrawing their statements.

THIS IS SO TRUE!!!! Men are victims bc when they get abused by a female, the police don't take them seriously or they feel shame for admitting a woman is abusing them. My ex did the same thing to me. We were married for 11 years and never had any major problems, had the police called, and I never touched her. But, during our divorce she lied and said I hit her in front of our daughter. It was insane what happened next. I got arrested, wasn't able to see my daughter, and life destroyed. Long story short, they interviewed my daughter 100 times and she even told the judge that "my dad never touched my mom. She slapped him a few times and he would leave for a walk and come back later". They had zero proof, no marks, scratches, police reports, or history. Luckily, all charges were dropped and I was able to get 50% custody of our daughter. Even though those 3/4 months were hell, what hurt worse is knowing that this person I loved, married and had a daughter with could do something so evil.What's also crazy is how male detectives/police love to play Superman and treat you like absolute garbage. The judge scolded my ex at our court hearing and said "I see this all the time, your feelings are hurt and in return you try to destroy your daughter fathers life". I finally understood the old saying "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".

He’d be getting punished and doing time and have his reputation completely destroyed for literally no reason, and there would be no one to believe him. There should be consequences for false accusations so that other people see them happen and may then think twice about doing it themselves because they know they WILL get slapped with jail time/fines if they decide to take the risk and create an elaborate, damaging lie about someone else. Like this, the worst thing that can happen is the lying accuser gets embarrassed when the truth comes out. My husband was accused of something heinous like this by someone he barely knew. There were fuck ups all around by the state troopers who just took this crazy person's statement and arrested him with absolutely no evidence what so ever. She had a whole kit done and exam hours after this all supposedly happened and absolutely none of his DNA showed up, despite others DNA being present. Investigators interviewed everyone at her dorm and no one could place him there, windows wide open in her dorm, the guy directly below said he was up all night doing her finals paper with his window open and said he heard nothing. She changed her story more than once, made up a bogus story about him coming up to her room to help her with a final (an open book take home test.....). It's insane the amount of evidence against her, yet, our joke of a system keeps it going. Well, it goes all the way to trial , they threw about 17 plea deals at him he refused them all. He had a terrible lawyer BTW who wanted this to go straight to trial so he could have a big W under his belt (I did half his paralegal work for this case) . Jurors were majority middle aged women, the girl did terrible on the stand dressed like a slob, husband takes the stand and did a really good job just being honest, jury deliberates the next day and take about 10 minutes to come back not guilty, the girl didn't even show up for the judgment and the jurors all came up and apologized to us that we had to go through all of this ......... The DA still slandered my husband in the paper. Thankfully we are now in the position that we can sue, there was exculpatory evidence that was ignored by troopers, and there seems to have been conspiracy as well, either way I hope us suing will make a difference in the future and discourage false accusers. It is absolute bullshit that false accusers are always protected, this girl lied and that outrageous lie could have gotten him locked up for 53 years .... they wanted to put him in prison for 53 years...... the plea deals all had him being on the sex offender registry......It's absurd and it's a real problem. It enrages me bc I was r***d in high school, I was a victim ans her lies hurt real victims.

Wow truly heartbreaking to say the least! Im so sorry you and your family went through this! I have little to zero faith in our justice system exactly because of situations like yours!!!!! Prayers to you and your family! You should get an attorney and sue! How are you all doing now? Why did this person make these accusations?

Glad y'all are taking the steps to hold the crooked justice system accountable for the suffering y'all endured. Please update us if you feel comfortable if y'all are successful or not. And I'm so sorry you had to go through that in highschool. Unfortunately I think it happens way more then is reported. My sister-in-law and my mom both went through that in highschool. Praying for you.

You're story Enrages me too! I just don't understand people that have no conscience in them. It's a scary scary world we live in especially with the FAKE NEWS media willing to destroy lives for nickles and clicks.

@@matthewl67 completely agree. Makes me angry I worked as a crisis worker helping women who were abused and when I hear about a woman lying I think they should go to jail or at least receive the penalty they wanted to inflict on the innocent person.

*It's absolutely not true that a victim remembers every detail and a liar doesn't. I've been abused my entire life and struggle to remember details because of trauma and disassociation.
