This is one of my favorite interrogations and even though it has been done before, I wanted to do it on my channel so I apologize to those that were looking forward to a newer interrogation. I promise I have great interrogations incoming *Quick Channel Update* This is the last video using my old equipment and I have some great stuff in the works. Longer videos, subtitles, crazy cases, better audio, more narration audio and much more so don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss any of it! I was a student at University of Illinois when it happened and I was in a building right across the street where he picked her up on the same day. If he was driving another car, say a Toyota Corolla, there was no way the detectives could arrest him and/or build a case against him. And that's so scary! There were exactly TWO black Saturn Astra registered to Urbana-Champaign addresses. Even with that, they still had to use his wife to get a confession from him. And the confession came when they were attending a vigil that was organized by students for her.

He "allows" his wife to cuk him because he's terrified that he'll lose her completely if he doesn't (which he will) and it eats him up inside. We all knew what he did, but when he mentioned her jeans that really told me exactly what he did. Normally you would either not remember what a person wore on a certain day, or you would remember something close to their face - like a hat, an accessory, or a shirt. The fact that he only recalled the jeans was so telling. No other piece of clothing mattered enough for him to remember, but the jeans he needed to take off of her. That’s why he remembers it, in my opinion. It’s quite creepy to think about that sentence in that light. I hope her body is found soon, and that her family can give her a proper burial. She can no longer go back hone the way everyone would want her to, but at least she can still go home this way. It would probably help her family and friends too… I hope they’re doing okay despite this tragedy and are healing well.

I was only the next block behind my house walking down the side walk and he said something like, "hey guys, ya wanna see something cool?"..we were interested, but I noticed he didn't show us anything out by hand and didn't hold anything out, he just sat there looking down and not showing us, so we were gonna go up to the car, but I had a weird feeling that something was off. Why wasn't he looking at us, or showing us anything so I stopped my friend and politely said no thanks and shuffled off around the corner, so we could round back to our place. He said hey as we walked away, but we just ignored him and kept walking. Never seen the dude again, but it was pretty freaky.

Did this interrogation make you relive your experience so you had to comment that you identify with a murderer? 35 years ago and your still playing a victim? Maybe your friends wife should have gotten you admitting to it too? You should just delete this comment on your own.

I live in a nearby town. This was such a tragedy for the community. Kudos to the U of I Police Officer that noticed a dent in the hubcap to help solve this crime. My heart goes out to the family of Yingying.

nah his wife is the one that solved the crime. after she got back from her trip with her boyfriend she wore a wire and got him to confess. the sad thing is this guy was asking for help. its too bad this happened to the innocent yingying and not his shitty ..... wife.

I appreciate channels like these that play out the entire interrogations. The additional information regarding facts of the case that come out during trial and the end results are great additions. My only issue, and it's not solely Red Tree Crime, is the interjections regarding how an innocent person would react or how you can tell when someone is lying. People are complicated creatures and everyone is unique.

I like the interjections , and all of us that watch these interrogations know that body language isn't necessarily all that accurate, sometimes it is though.

Everyone has tells... even psychopaths have idiosyncrasies. Yes people are complicated and you might think you're unique but that sounds like some narcissist BS. Go take the DSM-5 and see just how un-unique you are and what box you actually fit into.

“Complicated creatures…”. Very dark. I like it… I’m not the smartest dude in the room, but I’m assuming RTC is doing major editing to this interview… assuming these interviews usually take hours… And since this dude only interjects sporadically - i actually like it… What do i know? ☮️

It always baffles me that these people don't tell the cops "if you got all this evidence and power to get whatever you need, charge me with something or let me go home" Followed up with "I want a lawyer" It doesn't matter why they're talking to you, always have a lawyer with you.

Sometimes even when the evidence is strong they like to have a confession to make things easier with the jury.

It's good to know someone can get life even when there's no body. The lack of a body seems to often lead to a maddening plea deal, emboldening future killers to kill anyway but do a good job at disposing of the body.

after his wife got back from her trip with her boyfriend she helped the police and wore a wire and got him to confess to her. you can't make a spouse testify against their spouse but if they are willing to do it... .I think we know where the societal breakdown is and it is sad because in a way she made herself the hero in this story too.

I think it's only because they got a confession from him. They did say that without it they wouldn't have had any evidence to charge him
