Stock exhaust system with header pipes and slips ons weighs not more than 18kgs so technically you’ve reduced around 22-23kgs from your bike

Had a question. Which map number you’re running on fuel X pro?
@saddlemiles Жыл бұрын
I usually run the 8. 6-7 map is the normal map. 9-10map are fuel guzzlers. 8 also consumes more than usual fuel, but it is a sweet spot.

@@saddlemilesi need to know as well. I bought this bike for mileage and so far, 28-33kp/l is what i get with just an igx exhaust and dna filter.

@@r.i.p2464 The Interceptor is not a milage king. It is made for performance. 33 kmpl according to me is amazing fuel efficiency. I usually get between 20-25 kmpl. It completely depends on the riding style and road conditions.

@@saddlemiles well in my country, we have minimum displacement allowed in the free way. I need at least 400cc and up. My bigger bike can get me 14-17km/l. So the 30+ that my interceptor can provide is a huge improvement. I used to have a 125cc. That little turd can give me 50km/l but heres the catch. I have to pass though town after town, traffic after traffic, my travel time is an hour longer so it negates the better mileage it could give. My daily commute is 98km, one way. I usually pay 2.5 USD on my 125cc, 8 USD on my 1450cc and now, just 3 USD on my interceptor 650. Now isn't that a great value for money? And i saved an hour too.
@r.i.p2464 Жыл бұрын
@@saddlemiles oh btw. 25 if i ride normally, 30 if i ride 90kph, 33 if i accelerate really really slow and maintain 80kph. 33 was my highest. These are all highway miles, i weigh 96kg, 5'10 broad shoulders which is bad for air resistance and drag. I would also get 20-25 around the city.

Interesting, but installing a full system aftermarket exhaust voids the warranty, plus it will cause more pollution with the cat-cons removed !! Besides, there is always a possibility of being stopped by cops, after all these pipes are louder than the stock ones!! Is the trade-off really worth it?
@saddlemiles Жыл бұрын
You are right, that is why I did not do any of this when under warranty. About the pollution part, I am not sure how much of a difference it would make. It may not comply to the BS6 norms though. And for the noise part, I had done some research and settled on Powerage which is a decent mix of power and lesser noise as compared to others, also they look very close to stock. Well, now to answer your question on the tradeoff, it is a personal choice I guess.
@saddlemiles Жыл бұрын
And to answer if it is really worth it, you should ride my bike to really know. I am confident you will have a 😊 when you do.

As a recent owner of the same bike(in canyon red), with just 600kms on my odo, I am willing to consider changing parts that improve comfort.......like the handlebar you have, and maybe other parts that will make the ride less painful. My experience so far hasn't exactly been pleasant 😂. I opted for the INT touring seat but it's firmness gives me a sore bottom even after short rides. I also installed 1inch risers for the handle but it hasn't really helped in reducing pain in my forearms, so maybe this handlebar is worth trying out.
@saddlemiles Жыл бұрын
@@naveenbhat1930 Try the Interceptor Premium Touring Seat or a Sahara Touring Seat with Gel. They can custom make it for you. Also, for the handlebar try the Art of Motorcycle handlebar, it is very good. The raisers are no good.
@saddlemiles Жыл бұрын
This suggestions is considering you have a red inti. If you prefer chrome, then you can try the RedRooster Handlebar. But quality wise I personally suggest AOM. If money is not a problem and you can get someone to import go for the renthal handlebar.

Why do you need to get more powerful brakes when you reduce weight ?
@lordofsnowandsky Жыл бұрын
Mass into velocity
@prateekojha7717 Жыл бұрын
@@lordofsnowandsky Int650 can go to 160+ so velocity is what you want it to be. Weight is coming down. So basically you have smaller momentum to handle and so your brakes will perform better without any change.
@lordofsnowandsky Жыл бұрын
@@prateekojha7717weight also helps slow down but if u reduce weight u need to better brakes
@prateekojha7717 Жыл бұрын
@@lordofsnowandsky no, weight increases momentum, brakes reduce momentum. less weight, less momentum, lesser stopping power needed, smaller brakes. Same brakes will behave better on a lighter bike. If traction is an issue, it just need softer tyres not bigger brakes.
