Lotta moments I liked in this set. The zair to snipe float is such a good idea, I feel it just needs the proper follow up edge guards to make it as threatening as it should be vs. peach. And the part where you created a missive shark wall of return rang, up b and bomb on ps made me exited for the future even if it didn't get much. There are just so many ways link can set up stuff and take advantage of it. Also liked the ideas of trading percent via purposeful bomb det interrupts to create safer offense. Though i will admit it's deff still in the early stages of usefulness but even if it is the fact all of this is showing promise already is a good sign.

It's pretty hard to be honest. Peach destroys link close range so most of it has to be fought mid to long range. Vincessant played it pretty well. Was a fun and challenging set!

​​@@RedXLinkin my opinion the neutral was boring to watch, because it was just the two fighters projectile spamming one another, but Link has to fight neutral like this because his frame data is poor, so i understand. And i guess that's why the commentators got bored too and started talking about random topics. Link is better at long range though, and you showed it. Anyway, it was a great match, and you played well!

It's been 23 1/2 goddamn years. If people haven't "solved" mid/low tier matchups now, I think it's pretty clear that it's not a matter of "solving" matchups, and instead a matter of playing them

That's my take to. Melee is blitz chess. Even if you know the answers you may not have the muscle memory or speed to deal with everyone's options. We aren't robots as much as some people seem to want to play like that. Melee has the human factor in it. It's so awesome. I pray that all the perceived low and mid tiers rise up and even the playing field! I want to see much more char diversity in melee.

It definitely is. Peach gets rocked in the mid to long range game but link gets rocked in the close range so its heavy whiff / baiting out each others moves. Peach is too good up close and aggro. I enjoy it though cause it really pushes the footsies and how we each use our drift to its limit.

Their commentary was so left field that I'd rather listen to Bobby Scar talk about himself in another Top 8 to GF set all over again. Some of it was cute and enjoyable, but it could have been more focused. Some really interesting stuff was happening while they were taking on the noble discussion of which link is cuntiest. yo milpy thanks for the question! I would say the 3 key bomb recoveries to learn are - The bomb jump ( which you said you got down. Great stuff! ) - The bear jump ( with bomb in hand, zdrop bomb, double jump, single bair to explode it ) - Courage drop ( zdrop while maintaining steady drift and try to detonate the bomb with the first hit of reverse aerial up B . The back swing of aerial up B ) The RPG Dive as it's called ( the bomb throw down dair tech that comes from Project Melee days ) does work but it's not as consistent as the big 3 I've told you about. Still working on that one and how it can be added into link's recovery kit
