Im from GenSan and ur absolutely right. sidewalks and street lighting is pretty bad but overall its just a safe chill city if u want to have a relaxed laid back life and yes it gets boring at times.

I have stayed in GENSEN many times. I usually stayed in the KCC / SM mall area. the only thing i didn't really like was the smell. every corner and ally was a piss stop .

I spent a week downtown GenSan. Other than the mall that really isn't much to do there. There is a lovely restaurant to have breakfast at that downtown as well as one restaurant to have dinner. Beyond that I think you're going to be brooking disappointment.

What are some reasons you didn't stay in Da Nang for long? I've been to Cebu city, Bohol, and Davao. That was good enough for me in the Philippines. Hated pretty much everything. Want to see how Da Nang is like.

I went to Polomolok earlier this year...and stayed in Dolores Farm, accommaoiation a bit basic, the food was good and a big swimming pool...its not far from where you are staying

the farm at carpenter hill is much better, good resto and pool area..before you hit koronadal

If you going back to Davao, your best bet would be to fly from Gensan with Cebu Pacific. Takes about 20 mins total, either way.

It looks like a good pool with room for $21 USD. It is good to have a place that you are forced to relax for a while. Most Americans never get the chance to completely really relax. They are always running from place to place and are never truly happy 😊😊😊
