What an interesting idea, you don't have to take the whole vehicle out of service for brake or suspension repair, just replace the corner unit, truck is back on the road while the corner unit gets serviced.

I enjoyed listening. Concerning captive fleet EVSE solutions Atom Power has an elegant offering were the EVSE electronics are on the breakers instead of on the posts exposed to the elements. That way, the only thing outside is a sturdy metal post & charging cable.

So could you put these on a pop-up trailer or camping trailer which would extend battery for when you're towing your with your EV. Isuzu N series vehicles I think would be a great idea

Toyota is the world leader in hybrid vehicles in large part because they effectively had a patent monopoly. GM held key patents on using NiMH batteries for electric drivetrains developed during the EV1 days, which were then sold to Texaco (Texaco later bought up by Chevron). Toyota and Chevron worked out a deal to let Toyota build hybrids using those patents. This gave Toyota a 5 or 6 year window to be basically the only manufacturer able to build viable hybrids using then state-of-the-art NiMH packs. The patent agreements also prevented Toyota from building a full EV, which is why they halted production of the first gen RAV4EV. Thanks, Chevron!

With the large corner modules that are being swapped out for service I am surprised no one asked Peter Dow if they are planning on rebuilding the modules and using rebuilt units instead of sending them to the land fill.
