Thanks for posting this review; both shoes look like they'll take a beating. I do have two questions, though: For a overpronator, who's finally getting back in the workout game(elliptical training/weight machines/possible lifting), which Nano do you recommend? Also, what's the break-in time for the X?

Both of these models will give you the same amount of support, but I’d go X if you have the option. Estimated break in is about 1-2 weeks for the X if you’re wearing them 2-3x a week. Quicker if you’re wearing them more often! Thank you!

To me Reebok CrossFit sneaker line ended at the nano x when CrossFit’s contract ended. I notice no one outside of the ppl that’s sponsored by Reebok likes them over the x’s. I don’t think you talked about the heel drop changing from zero to 6 I believe. That’s important because with less of a firm outsole/ more unstable compared to the older models and the heel drop cycling OLY lifts becomes more difficult. I can see a lot of inexperience CrossFitter performing movements on the balls of there feet. And to be honest no one needs there daily CrossFit sneaker to be a better running sneaker I would just get running sneakers in CrossFit you rarely run anything longer then 1km in a class wod.
@thatfitfriend3 жыл бұрын
Agreed on a lot of fronts! It’s a bummer that the partnership ended in re: hyper-focused CrossFit shoes! The heel-to-toe went from 4mm to 6mm which I should have mentioned and am kicking myself in the butt for now! And agreed on the running aspect, but it’s a question that a lot of folks tend to ask in regard to these models! Appreciate the feedback!

I hate cleans or snatches with the X1, but I love running, wall balls, box jumps, and back squats with them. A situational Nano if there ever was one. The Nano X and Nano X Unknown feel better for me as an all around-er. The X1 also seems to suffer from "lace bite" as the tongue is extremely thin and the laces can dig into your foot.

So the program I follow has a focus on functional fitness but it’s not necessarily CrossFit. I do reverse pyramid training for heavy squats & deadlifts but there’s still some moving exercises like box jumps, broad jumps, walking lunges, etc. Runs are at most 40 minutes at a slow jog (for me usually around 12 or 11 minute mile pace). My HIIT training I’ll usually opt for the rower or assault bike so guessing shoe choice isn’t that big a deal for those machines. From what you said in the video sounds like the X would be a better choice, would you agree with that?

The X1s? The boot is brutal for that - I legit had blisters for a week after testing them. Super unfortunate and I’m sorry you have a similar experience 😕

@@thatfitfriend thanks for the reply i read alot if reviews and comments from people that had the exact same issue but i ignored it cuz i liked the design.. u said u had a break in period so u continually worr them for that whole week?

@@youngjabelz88 yeah, I wore longer socks and used them for multiple workouts and it gets a bit better. Not perfect, but your skin adapts and the heel breaks in a bit more. However, still far from ideal though!

@@youngjabelz88 I think you should be better off after a few sessions, but do note, not perfect. Hah, dang...The Xs are a solid model 👀

Just bought some X1’s because my 10’s had a hole in the toe. AND, I HATE THE X1’s… the heel is a MOFO!

Regular X1 is meh - the Adventure is the iteration to rock if you’re grabbing them! They (your current shoes) should break in for you after a few sessions….but I do not envy your Achilles right now and know that feel,

X1 -- the heel curves in and will dig your achilles. Horrible shoe.
