The Robertson's inspire me to continue my thirst for the lords word. By showing the strength and courage it takes to walk the path of the lord, and inadvertently give others the strength to do the same. I personally could never put together a sequence of words that would express the level of appreciation that I hold for them. Thank you

sadier, do you think King David had an "acapella" (your spelling) voice? Do you think He cared? I think He is happy that folks sing about Him no matter how we sound; don't you? ! :)

I don't know who is filming, but they really need to hon their skills. Makes u nauseated watching. Reed did great, when u can hear him over the screaming babies. No respect for God or performer.

Meh, he did okay. but my opinion is that this song's lyrics are not appropriate to sing in church. It's definitely not a worship song.

I love all of you Robertsons and Reed, you are really gifted. The song is beautiful, however not correct Biblically at times with cutting the hair of whom? I think the Christmas version by Cloverton is the best and Reed, I would love to hear you sing it :)
@timtusphil110 жыл бұрын
Maybe the song writer (Leonard Cohen) get's his bible stories mixed up like Madea or maybe he started talking about Samson and Delilah or maybe Bathsheba was the type of spouse/girlfriend who would cut the hair of her man (as there are a lot of women that will do that for their man). Who knows?
@timtusphil110 жыл бұрын
BTW check out my Hallelujah (different version) See if it is more Biblical. I have 2, one is with these lyrics and the other is totally different except for the first verse. Let me know what you think on the different one.

Have beautiful voices but I do wish you would keep Godly songs acapella instead of copying the world to please them. Beautiful voices are heard more purely when not drowned out by instruments.
@SilvD3X10 жыл бұрын
nobody is copying the world. The world is copying what God created. Read Psalms. It encourages us to praise God with our hands, our voices and our instruments, again and again throughout the book. Plus, it calls it a sacrifice that pleases God, so please read the Bible before posting something that only implies man made traditions and ideas.
@timtusphil110 жыл бұрын
Another note: While the bible speaks in so many places in favor of playing instruments, never have I read NOT to play instruments. Although I do appreciate great A Capella voices, I prefer my own to be backed up with an instrument because that's what I grew up with. To each their own. (the scripture I hear in favor of A Capella, "Make melody in your heart", I do that at work where I can't play an instrument)
@SilvD3X10 жыл бұрын
timtusphil1 great stuff ! We use our instruments, voices and bodies...where we don't have instruments we use our bodies and voices....when we don't have voices we use our bodies....when we can use our bodies we use our hearts...and if we don't, the rocks will give praise. God will still be praised!
@philanddeb81810 жыл бұрын
timtusphil1 I agree. A lot of worship services mix it up so there are the old hymns, some contemporary and some acapella. I believe this is done to attract everyone in the room in lieu of only a young or old fellowship.
