Reef Beasts Part 2 | Big Reds, Pearl Perch, Spanish Mackerel | Fraser Island

In part 2 of 2 of Reef Beasts we catch some great red emperor along with some big spanish mackerel and pearl perch off from Fraser Island ( K'gari ). An inline camera captures reds eating the baits with one busting me off in the reef. I've also included some cool underwater footage of Red emperor, amberjack, yellowtail kingfish, mangrove jack, morwong and more.

Great episode ! Now for the crazy bit.... I've seen some super super quick shit in the sky, mid-day on the water just north of Fraser in the past. One minute they were there, next minute gone. 😮

You want to look into how far away fisheries can zoom in on your cutting board and measure a fish length. You don’t even know there around. Or have filmed you till you get to ramp and are pulling boat out. Mate got pictures of parrot fish given to him. They took it over 4 miles away from him never heard or seen them. It was borderline. He caught bigger later cut it up for bait. The stripped his boat looking for that parrot fish

G'day greg, your mapping system is insane, could i ask what furuno gear you're running? Specifically transducers, head ubits and any black boxes? Im pretty happy with my Garmin setup but yours is just nuts!

Mate i love it. The sounder is a furuno fcv-295 with 2 x2kw transducers. One is a low freq variable khz (65-110) 82b-35r for deep water and the other is a high freq 200khz 200b-10b for 0- 200mtrs of water. The 2 multi function displays are furuno tz3 with dff3d, radar, scx20 sat compass & Nav pilot 300 autopilot.
