My best tank setup ever had the same pattern higher edges and a lower middle however from the top view it was in a shape of a U to add depth in the tank

Hey Tom, welcome back! Binge watched your entire channel a few years back and have kept up with it ever since. It’s helped guide me through many of the ups and downs while getting into the hobby - forever grateful! Unfortunately been dealing with a very stubborn case of Dino’s as of late and would love to hear your thoughts/experience on how to handle them!

Hi Matt, Dino’s are not fun.🫤. First make sure they are Dino’s and not Cyanobacteria. They look similar. Next, It may be because your tank is super clean (low) as far as nitrates? Or you moved things around, sand bed, live rock. Dino’s are competing with bacteria and surface. They usually appear when you first set up your tank. In my experience siphoning them daily can help. You can also cut back on your water changes. If your nitrates are low this may help. Higher nitrate seems to help. So test your water for nitrate and phosphate. To some degree you have to wait it out. Could take a few weeks to a months. Let me know. 👍🏻😊patience

I have a tank that im never happy with the scape, right when things look good for a few months a rock will move causing a domino effect of me trying to fix it and all the others displacing. Have Lightning Maroon clowns in there that bite me which doesnt help bc if i dont get in and out they just blockade. Its 5 foot 180gal so some of the rocks are big and i tell ya, i gotta walk away half the time the clowns frustrate me so much!! lol

Hi Ones. 😃If your rocks can be lifted out of the tank, use E- Marco Cement to cement them together. Then put back in. That’s why I always cement the live rock together before I start up my tank 😉
