Jamie's tank is absolutely beautiful! How often did they do the massive water changes? does he live right on the ocean? I guess mother natures water is best! thanks for getting in there to film and share this beauty.

Personally it's the healthiest tank I have seen on KZbin from what I can remember. And personally I think it's because he does the large water changes with natural sea water, smart. His tank is better than thousands of other people taking the hobby just as seriously. Again the ocean water.

very nice video nice aquarium Jamie Jake Adams I have a sand bed in my aquarium sump do you think I'm able to take that out because you always talk about being against sand beds in the aquarium sump
@ReefBuildersVideo7 жыл бұрын
if you're tank is fine then don't mess with it, a well designed remote sandbed can be quite useful, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it

The Dallas is named after a reefer from Victoria, Dallas Warren. I remember the Dallas Warrenii frags doing the rounds back around 2000/2001. I seem to remember someone doing dna testing way back then because there were so many forms that it was impossible to ID

The green staghorn was named after Dr Dallas Warren (Dr_DBW), an early pioneer in Australian reefkeeping and what we would call here in Australia "A bloody top bloke". He built me a skimmer a long time ago. :)
@@ReefBuildersVideo Excellent article. Although it's worth noting that Dallas is a little bit more than just a guy who worked in a fish shop, he has doctorate in chemistry and is currently the Senior Research Scientist at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Science.

I know this is over a year old....but I have one question if someone could answer it.....how do you have that Elegance coral to the lower right of the tank right next to other corals? Do they get along? Does the Elegance sting the nearby corals? I have so much space around my Elegance that it looks so bare. What corals would you suggest I could put near him? Thanks")

Is that an Atlantic blue tang in there? Never knew how big they really get if it is an Atlantic blue
@mikesridley7 жыл бұрын
It's a powder blue tang or Acanthurus leucosternon assuming your referring to the blue fish with yellow black and white markings.
@jaimeduerme7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is an Atlantic Blue. It does get quite large. Great temperament for a tang too :)

@dwpetty37237 жыл бұрын
First, I wonder if he does the 95% water change weekly, monthly, he must be close to the ocean. great video
@ReefBuildersVideo7 жыл бұрын
Yes he is close to the ocean, and I think the changes are every 6 to 8 weeks give or take
@njreef89477 жыл бұрын

Is it just me or this guy always has something to say about peoples tanks in a want to be low key way. Kinda like smack talk then try’s to back it up with some positive comment. Like when he went to go check out miles reefer he was just talking smack . Like it’s there tank if it’s working for them let them be . He always to change something on someone’s tank haha
@lolosharko3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jake, great footage but an interview is not about the interviewer. I cannot help but cringe when you give your opinion instead of asking your host why their tank is successful. Share the limelight, you get the likes anyway.
