Woah! Never knew bumblebee snails were predators, time to go get me some

They can also go after smaller scales,, so its a bit of a double edge sword, i find bigger ones are pretty safe

What happens with the vermitid snail tube when they die? Do they just fall on their own or do you have to scrape them?

do bumble bee snail will kill other variety of snail , like turbo snail and trochus snail?
@ReefingwithO8 ай бұрын
Yes, they are carnivorous snails
@boozter8 ай бұрын
Have not killed any in my tank. The bumble bee snail are very small and slow, doubt it would be able to kill a turbo snail.
@ReefDudes8 ай бұрын
Yes they can. I find bigger ones are safe. Smaller ones is a risk

Update on the vermetid snails? It's been 7 months...
@inventoryking8 ай бұрын
Bumblebee snails are great at this for sure. The 1 negative I have noticed with them is they will eat other snails if they flip over.

It can be a risk with small ones but find big ones are pretty safe

If you watch the videos I did I Savy’s tank. He did a similar process which fixed his issues. I’ll talk about it more with him next time I do an update on his tank

Will bumble bee snails eat maxima clams?
@glavotsky236 ай бұрын
I put bumble bees in my tank about a month ago, and I haven't seen them go near my maxima.

6 bees and dosing calcium carbonate snow 2 times a week has taken down nearly all vermatids in my completely overrun 120
@ReefDudes8 ай бұрын
Wicked! How long have you been doing this for?
@UziRid3r8 ай бұрын
@@ReefDudes I started seeing a decrease in the vermatids after about 3 months. A year later and now I have to search to find them. I don't consider them a pest any longer. My process has been to dose the CC after some polyp booster and coral food. Return pump off for 15 mins and Skimmer off for 30.
