Wamuu is fun but he is trash LOL somehow im able to survive against high level players.

Nice Whamuu gameplay, always loved trying this guy out. 😁 I think the wonkiness of him, be it the no-dash, air-flip-crossup attack, far-kick, and alot of his other quirks, like with pillar-attack/heavy super armor, is I *think* they wanted to go more character-driven on the moveset, rather than merely references, to the point it cost him his run. I think they were trying to apply the character's philosophy [since there's nothing a Pillar Man loves more than spouting his philosophies at Joseph mid-battle] to his movestyle, and since Whamuu is a battle tactician, maybe they were going for an 'every move counts' deal, so every button press, like dashing to get close, or having a flipping move that dodges most attacks only to attack as well, *AND* can be used to trigger counters while jumping over the character itself, ends up feeling more important/intentional than usual. [I love how that ended up happening when you fought Jolyne at times] All of this, AND the eye-gouge move that gives you a borderline broken guard-breaking attack drill, makes me think they went really esoteric with thinking through this guy's moveset, prolly thinking 'how do we make players *feel* like a battle tactician, who plans every step.' [that and the weird hair-wave move that gets rid of projectiles too] The real trick is making sure to balance that with actually having fun, though.😅 Which, ngl, I struggled with too a lot when using him for ASB modes and such.. But still, as a niche odd moveset, I think he fits his purpose kinda sorta.😏I just wouldn't play him anytime soon.. All in all, Reek, loved the vid. You made Whamuu seem actually viable, which i'd say is a massive accomplishment 😂 Great job, and keep up the fantastic content as always.👍

This is an excellent analysis! Wamuu is truly an "all-in" sort of character; you need to play his moveset by his rules, and that transition can be tough. You need to be a battle genius and plan accordingly. If you use his tools correctly, he will shred the opponent. If mishandled, he can struggle because of his odd quirks.

@@doswallo Thank you! He really is a commitment character. You get out of him the amount of hours you play as him, and it just builds from there. He's fun, but he only gets more fun once you realize the setups his quirks allow. 😁Which...is a good or bad thing, depending on how much you want to commit to maining-a-character, or just want to jump in and have some fun for a couple minutes.☺I'm glad he was made this way though, for better or worse. Fits the character well.

I wish they made Joseph the same way. The entire appeal of his character is the fact that he outsmarts people even though they're a lot stronger than him. Instead they made Joseph the most boring spam character with almost zero depth to him which just doesn't fit Joseph in the show.

This would make Risotto less unique, but I think Wamuu should have a temporary invisibility move that costs meter or smthn. Lorewise it would make sense since he does do it outside that mansion that one time.

Wham does the most damage out of all the Piller Men. His Installs [Vorpal Barrier] and [I shall see with the Wind] make his attacks stronger; especially [Storming Aftermath]. Wham's best moves are [Whoosh], [Tornado Aftermath] and [He Bent Backwards]. If you wanna see some crazy Wham combos, look up the KZbinr "Bass". He shows off the best Wham combos

man, you're missing on a lot of Wamuu's stuff. Like his 236S tornado, yeah it can be risky but like many things can pay off since the full damage is not bad, and you can buff its damage as well as the other attacks' by the modes. Why not use your meter to get some more damage from normals rather than only for HHA/GHAs? All pillar men have at least two modes and I think they shouldn't be neglected completely
