One of my favorite comedies. This was the American Pie for 90’s millennials like myself. It’s a perfect time capsule of American teen culture and humor in 2007, but it doesn’t age poorly, either. Takes me right back to my teen years in the best way.

When I went to Chicago for spring break in ‘08, I remember seeing signs ALL over the city (billboards, taxis, you name it) saying stuff like “My mother always hated you, Sarah Marshall” “you suck, Sarah Marshall” etc. Being about 13 at the time, I genuinely thought someone was actually blasting their ex all over Chicago and thought ‘god damn who is Sarah Marshall and what did she do?’ LMFAO. A few weeks later, I saw a commercial on tv for Forgetting Sarah Marshall and realized all the signs in Chicago were just promotions for the movie and Sarah Marshall wasn’t a real person 😂😂

The honest reactions from you two are absolutely precious! Something you guys should consider for future film videos is to visit the IMDB trivia facts about the movies you review after your end-of-credit impressions. I've noticed your musings and questions about certain aspects of whatever you've just watched, and I personally would LOVE to see you two expand on the bits of context from that databse. This movie is a great example because of the tight crew and how the entire story was imagined when the creators were still teenagers!

Truly put Jonah Hill and Emma Stone on the map (and Michael Cera too), genius writing by Seth Rogan and his writing partner Evan Goldberg, and this is a staple of American comedy.
